Let me get this straight, there's a patch on .TO to remove something in a BETA release.  ok

Yes because at the time it was unclear whether A) it was a bug or B) was a feature and if it were to be the latter then it would've gone to the Public Build and all hell would've broken loose 😄

So that's why it appeared, perfectly reasonable to me and thankfully as above it helps VR users out so we're thankful the bug happened ☺️

If watching the video annoys you here is the link for the SU4 beta fix:

Cheers for that, however while it removes the CTRL+ C msg. I still have the HUD in the cockpit even though I have it off in options.

The only way to get rid of it, as far as I can see, is to also turn off HUD for external view.

Hello,

Indeed, it's in the title: '...Solution for "Exit Aircraft"'.

You don't need to watch the video for the solution, just read the first post in its entirety, and you'll see that below the video it says:

Link to download the "solution mod": https://flightsim.to/file/99623/msfs-2024-walkaround-ui-removal-mod

This mod is placed in the Community folder. Therefore, it doesn't fundamentally change anything.

You can leave it in the Community folder; you can remove it from the Community folder.

Config : AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3DMSI PRO B850-S WIFI6E - RAM G.Skill 2 x 32 Go DDR5 6000 MHz CL30 - MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G VENTUS 3X OC PLUS - 2 WQHD (2560x1440) screens and only one of which is for MSFS

Why the sarcasm about this?  Beta or not, if people want to download and use this little mod, all fine.  It is optional and you don't have to use it yourself. So what's the issue?

Good News - the bug was fixed in the latest SU4 Beta
Bad News - Asobo still haven't removed the hideous UI nonsense in VR walkaround mode
Good News - The mod linked in the first post still works for that reason, phew!

THIS is what that nonsense UI got in the way of, a walkabout to see the local landscapes and vegetation! So much better, love it.
