Anyone ran into this issue before? Just loaded up the premium gtn 750 in msfs2024 for the first time, and almost immediately ran into an issue: vnav automatically deactivates after about 5 seconds. at first it’s on, active, and accurate:

 

…and then it disables on it’s own:

 

Anyone ever run into this very annoying bug?

The developer is very active on Discord. Maybe you should post your question over there.

Just to verify does VNAV remain disabled once it initially disables?

Note:

I only have MSFS2020 / PMSGTN 750. Will keep an eye out for this on next flight.

Not an expert on this but do you need to have the correct altitude set for it to capture it? Just a thought

thanks for testing. this was happening to me in MSFS2024 so that's probably something to do with it. also the specific plane was A2A Aerostar so that could also have something to do with it.

I use the PMS GTN Premium's VNAV on virtually every flight and it can be fussy but always works for me.

Sometimes however, it will no provide VNAV until you do a direct to the first waypoint of your approach.  Try setting up a flight, then, when you're around 3/4 way through the flight plan, set up an approach (ILS or RNAV) and do a 'Direct To' to the first point on the approach. Then set up and check your VNAV in the Utilities > VNAV page.

On my test flight PMS GTN 750 VNAV was calculating during Climb, during Cruise to TOD, at TOD, during Descent and Approach.
