Took this about 6:25 am on my walk this morning!  Should be a storm coming in late tomorrow!  ⛈

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

What a peaceful time.  Maybe there is something to it (taking a walk at dawn)

Very peacefull time with very little traffic and few people out!  One other person across the street also taking
pic of the sunrise and red sky.

Below is a pic (I did not take this one) of the San Francisco skyline just after sunrise during
the big Napa County fires back in 2023.  The same area where I was walking this morning looked
identical.  Just like the Twilight Zone!

Very ominous looking but in it's own way beautiful.  At least until you have to take a breath of that air.  I remember in the summer of 2024.  Much of the Northeastern US was heavily affected by the wild fires up in Ontario.  For several days we had some of the worst air quality in the world.

Back to early morning walks.  Lovely peaceful time of day.  In my younger days, I used to love spending the night in my small tree house in our woods.  My favorite part was early dawn and watching the forest come alive.  Foxes hunting, deer on the move, owls coming in for their day time perch, grouse and pheasants foraging.  Some of the most memorable times of my youth and early twenties.

We're supposed to have below-average precip and above-average temps here in the mid-mississippi valley
although we just on the northern edge of the southern U.S. dry pattern, so you never know

Last time I checked, the first half of winter was supposed to be a La Nina pattern.

My late dog Lucky would have liked a morning walk, but I always walked with him in the evenings.  He was always game for any walk at any time though...being a terrier, he had 1,000 things to sniff, and holes to dig!  Serious business!

I spent twenty-five years getting up at 5.45 a.m. to get into work. Being a foolish old guy this gave me a chance for a stroll along the seafront with a cup of coffee and a cigarette. Winter sunrises are always spectacular.
