November 30, 2025Nov 30 Nice little review. I would love to get this airport working in P3D v5.4 but I cannot get it to work fully. I know how to delete the default buildings, but I don't know how to fix the elevation issues he said that needs to be fixed. And I cannot go to his discord page (I am one of the very few people that does not own a cell phone so I cannot sign up to discord) to get the files that fix the buildings with the black textures.
November 30, 2025Nov 30 This may help: It covers both buildings (which you already manage) and elevation (which you don't yet). November 30, 2025Nov 30 I'm just in the middle of a flight right now. I'll take a look at my installation and maybe I can help in a bit. system i9 10850K NVidia RTX3090 24GB Samsung SSD980 m.2 1TB (x2) Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD Seagate 2TB external drive Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB SSD Asus B460M-PLUS Mobo 32GB GSkill DDR4 3000mhz Ram using P3D v5.3
November 30, 2025Nov 30 Black buildings result often from textures not copied into global\texture. I haven't seen black buildings in my install. If you do not install into Prepar3D v5 directory, check if there's any new Global directory in this path with the textures. I did not find any altitude problems in v5 with this scenery. It has the P3D5 default altitude. I brushed this scenery a bit up. Will upload soon. P.S. Oh I have the black buildings too. It's only the side walls. I have the roofs textured. P.p.S. The textures for the autogen buildings are copied into the main texture folder of the sim, 15 files BLDA1.dds...roof_South_America_East.bmp. Also 17 effect files are copied into effects. These effects have 9 textures. So all these need to go into Prepar3d v5 into the respective folder. Uninstall the scenery and install again. Then you can direct it to Prepar3D v5 and all textures and effects are copied. If you like your Simmarket folder on another place, then move afterwards. November 30, 2025Nov 30 I got the textures fixed, with the method i wrote above. Now I see the jetways are missing. There is a static part but no movable jetway in my install. According to the pictures on Simmarket, there should be some movable jetways. Does anybode have some GSX configs or knows, where SODE jetways can be obtained? November 30, 2025Nov 30 my sbfz loaded with gsx moveable jetways. Black sides of buildings however....I will reinstall and see what happens...my only issue. Also i do not see a blda1.dds...only blda4, blda6. Guys I have the Adam Pestridge files...Let me know who wants them. They must go in the main texture folder for v5. My black textures are now gone. December 1, 2025Dec 1 Found the reason for missing jetways. I run FSDT GSX Control Panel and changed default jetways to gsx. I guess something was wrongly configured. The mod for SBFZ is almost finished but now I have a new problem with the simulator P3Dv5 no longer allowing to open menus. There's no day without problems with this sim.
