I can just see all the cats in the neighborhood lining up waiting for the door to open…

I can speak from personal experience. When I was 6 or 7, a family friend gave me 2 chicks 🐥 🐥for an Easter present. We put a small coupe in the garage, and I would take them out in the backyard to play with them. They started getting bigger, and my parents were thinking ahead, as in this is not sustainable.  I reluctantly agreed, as deep down I saw there point. What drove it home is that eventually when I opened the back door before letting the chicks out, there were all these cats gathered waiting for the chicks to come out 🤣😆😀. Cats have very good target acquisition sensors. So the chicks wound up in a rural setting, but it was a fun & interesting experience.

I’m sure my chickens went to a good home.  You can tell by the name of the organization that got them that it’s their mission.  It’s called Foster Farms.

So these chickens will actually be able to come home to roost?

I would not have a chicken or any other barnyard animal living inside my home.  It might have been commonplace centuries ago, but then so was bubonic plague, anthrax, and tuberculosis.

My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

There's actually an automatic chicken coop door in development that utilizes AI and it will be completely autonomous, just set and forget.  Word is that they've stumbled on some problems in the beta version and it will take some time before it's ready for prime time.  It's called the Chicken Coop Labor-saving Unmanned Closure - Device 9000 (CCLUC-D9000):
