January 1Jan 1 Went for a quick flight around one of my regular areas, Southend. Hadn't been down that way for a while, probably pre SU4. Horrified to see Southend Pier has disappeared! That's like Paris without the Eiffel Tower! Did a bit of checking around and it's still there in 2020, and is even marked as a POI on the World Map, but no trace in 2024. Same addons in both sims, plus I also removed everything and tried in a scenery-vanilla 2024 with same result. I have raised a report on the MS forum, but just wondered if anyone here could check, just in case I really am having some weird local issue. January 1Jan 1 Yes, it's definitely still there in 2024 as others have confirmed. I wonder if it's a LOD issue. What is your objects level of detail setting in MSFS > Settings > Graphics? I don't know if this setting affects custom placed objects like the pier, but it's worth a look. I'll post when I find out more. And for @bailout, the aircraft is the Hawker Fury from the AH Fury & Nimrod package at JustFlight. And a very fine plane it is. January 1Jan 1 Author OK, thought about it some more and the fact that it wasn't showing as a POI on the World Map made me think about missing packages, and sure enough, when I checked "My Library", the UK POI package was disabled. No idea why, not anything I did, but I enabled it and got my pier back. So all is right with my little corner of Essex again. It's where I was brung up, arter all <grin> I guess I'll go and close off my post on the official site. January 2Jan 2 Author Final feedback. Learnt on the official forum that 2024 has been known to arrive with the UK and US POI packages incorrectly disabled by default. Might be worth checking out if you ever feel anything is missing.
