Hi guys, I appreciated all your posts on my question about what traffic app to use.

I went with what I used in 2020, FS Traffic for 2024.

But the instructions are not clear.

It tells me to set "Traffic Airport Quality" to Off but that menu option doesn't exist.

Same for "Air Traffic" but it too doesn't exist.

And "Aircraft Traffic Type" to Off but like the other two, this doesn't exist.

I do have "Aircraft Traffic Quantity" and "Aircraft Traffic Variety."

What should I set these two to?

I think these settings refer to the older traffic menu settings in MSFS 2024, pre-SU 4. why they can't be bothered with updating their instructions is everybody's guess. 

I would try with all online traffic settings to OFF and take it from there.

The Quantity ones you set to off.

The Quality you can't set to off. Which you could have tried before asking. 😉

Pre SU 3. The naming UI naming conventions were changed with SU 3 already.

Don't want to be the bringer of doom, but I bought JF Traffic for 2024 in October.  Despite following all the instructions correctly, I never got a single aircraft injected.   Reported this to JF and they said it was a known issue for some users in 2024 and gave me an immediate refund.

This thread starts with discussion about GSX but if you go further down, there are a number of users who, like me, don't use GSX but still got no traffic with this program in 2024.

I'm only telling you so that, if you do everything right but still get no traffic, you'll know it's probably not you, but this problem!

Thanks guys, I set what I could to off and set variety to Med.

It does inject traffic but not as much as it did in 2020.  
 

 

Do yourself a favour, take the 10 mins to install FSLTL and give it a try. Far more traffic and even some Cargo.

I’m gonna do that Dave. As soon as I land and quit I’m gonna uninstall this and try it.

Anything I should know? I downloaded the exe, is that all I need?

You just need to install the Flyby wire installer and then select FSLTL Base for the aircraft as well as the injector. Once installed you just run the Injector and set it up to what you feel you might like and adjust from there.
