January 10Jan 10 X-Plane 12 is following a remarkable path towards becoming and even more rich reference in desktop flight simulation. The latest updates have been focusing in great details 👍👍👍and fixing bugs and overcomming some limitations. ATC, default, is imho not 2nd to any other sim I use these days! Actually I haven't much to complain about it regarding my airliners shorts opps 😁 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

January 10Jan 10 Author Just a heads up for others who use SPAD.next with X-Plane: I'm getting a crash being logged on exiting the sim. After removing all of my plugins and putting them back one by one, I traced it to the SPAD.next connector plugin. I've submitted a bug report to Laminar and on the SPAD discord. Response from the SPAD dev is that the plugin is de-registering its private commands when shutting down and the new beta doesn't seem to need (or like) that any longer. The next SPAD beta will include an updated plugin to (hopefully) fix this. In the meantime, the sim is still useable but I get a notice suggesting that I run in Safe Mode every time I start the sim because it crashed on exit.

January 10Jan 10 I haven't flown it yet, but I'm very pleased that the A330 is getting such a large degree of attention to fidelity.* Did anyone check out Reflected Reality's Defalut A330 YouTubes just a little while ago? Lessons from a Master...as always. *Now, if we could just get proper DLC's on the Tomcat, that'd be an excellent flight model enhancement. Edited January 10Jan 10 by UrgentSiesta

After all, I took the time to fully diagnose what was causing the issue before submitting bug reports. I merely posted the information so that others who might be encountering this crash -- which is being triggered by many more plugins than just the SPAD.next connector -- know what's going on. As for me, since the crash is occurring on shutdown and I need the SPAD connector for my various peripherals, I'm content to live with the Safe Mode prompt on start up until a fix is released.

Before exiting try to disable the SPAD NEXT addon in plugin admin. I believe that's actually what's triggering the crash (in SPAD and many other plugins). According to the dev, the underlying "bug" is that the crash is triggered when the plugin attempts to de-register its private commands when shutting down.
