IniBuilds A340 VIP Edition (V 1.07) Out

Featured Replies

Folks:

I got to finally do a short test flight of this A340-300 VIP Edition...with a quick loop over and around Frankfurt airport. In the Screenshots Forum, I have posted a set of images from my flight, including a few pictures of the (luxurious) cabin interiors.

Unfortunately, I suffered my first ever WASM crash on this iniBuilds (VIP) Airbus A340 today, on the final approach to Runway 07C/EDDF. Prior to this VIP Update, I had never before encountered such a crash on this A340 (or any other iniBuilds Airbus a/c, for that matter).

I always believed reports of WASM crash on-line, but I know now what it means first-hand...Oh well... I will retry this A340 VIP airliner on another time to see if it repeats, or/and if it's specific to the VIP variant...

Good flying...!

wasm errors have not been able to load this since 1.05

Oh…since v1.0.5…that’s not good…

I think in my case something more is going with this VIP v1.0.7 Edition, than the earlier versions. For this A340, I never knew before how those orange (WASM) error screens exactly look like.

It happened twice actually…once on the ground, when I was switching between the EFB and the FMS, and then once when I was on the final to 07C/EDDF in my test flight…

I will check again later this week..

are you loading at a gate or the runway?

Did you report the WASM crash to inibuilds?

There are dozens of threads and reports including logs of WASM crashes on their forums. Those threads almost never get a comment from a staff member.

Hi:

I wish to provide another update from my further tests with the A343 (Standard PAX) and the A343 (VIP Edition) variants.

I repeated the above (identical) EDDF test circuit (Takeoff 25C, Touchdown 07C) today, with a (Standard Pax) Air Belgium A343. There was no issue, nor any WASM crash (see 1st shot below).

Then I repeated the same flight with an A343 (VIP Edition) Edelweiss Air. This time, unlike my past experience, there was also no issue nor any WASM crash, from takeoff to touchdown (see 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shots below). I found this encouraging.

However, while later panning for the interior Cabin, I did see the "Memory is low, avionics will be disabled" pop-up message, which is (usually) my precursor to a WASM crash (I'm not sure if these two failures are directly related to each other...) ...

So, in summary, in my case, I can continue to fly the Standard Pax A343 without any issues. However, for the A343 VIP Edition, the WASM crash remains unpredictable i.e., hit-or-miss. BTW, I'm on Xbox X, so, on your PC, as someone wise says here...🙂...YMMV...

I started on the Runway for these tests.

Cheers...!
