January 21Jan 21 Hi. I bought this via marketplace(steam) and it was placed in the folder C:\Users\thhpa\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\Packages\Official2020\Steam. Where should I put the Wideroe livery from Fs.to? I've tried both the community and steam folders with no results. Thor H Thor H
January 22Jan 22 Not specifically on that aircraft, but I have found some 2020 liveries not working, and some do work ok. '24 does have a different image format called KTX2, but it also seems to read some of the older DDS files too, but not with all liveries I've discovered. I'm not sure if it's the format of the files, or if it's something in the manifest.json or other config files that makes some work and some not work. Perhaps some of the livery creators would know more. @ryanbatc or @Tim-HH Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
January 22Jan 22 Indeed, for the kind of reasons cited above, many of my (3rd-party) add-on repaint packs for liveries of my aircraft and airliners, purchased from the MSFS2020 Marketplace, do not work in MSFS2024. They are often labeled “Currently Incompatible” in My Library, though the corresponding a/c still work well for me. No one has cared to fix them in more than a year, so, I’ve given up on those purchased livery packs…

I'm not familiar with this Pilot's Dash 7 either - but what Mace has said is correct. If you look at the aircraft's texture files and they end in .KTX2 - a livery done previously for 2020 will not work (because it uses .dds) It only matters what the base product uses. An aircraft can use .dds textures in 2024, but it's not a native aircraft in that case (textures alone don't make an aircraft 2024 native btw). Also if Pilot's changed their model at all or the folder name layout, a 3rd party paint may no longer work for that reason. I need more information to assist here. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
