Both points may or may not be a cause why some people experience those crashes. Rather seldom on my machine/installation. 3. I'm sure for legit customers WASM crashes in FS24 wll be a thing of the past - sooner or later. January 30Jan 30 OK - I have one remaining problem...but it's a big one and I can't shake it off Typical Scenario: I have a flight plan loaded up that shows on the MCDU an initial ascent of around 2000' per minute to the initial altitude of 5000' This is consistent with the ascent angle - confirmed on the (excellent) ascent/descent profile on the cockpit glass display - which will get me to the FL100 cruise height shortly before the first waypoint I get everything ready per the instructions: TO is on A/T is armed Initial Alt is set at 5000' FD is On Pitch guidance (pink cross) is visible and at 10 degrees climb. V1, V2 etc are all calculated correctly in the MCDU I release the brakes, and move the throttle to around halfway. The auto throttle kicks in and the levers move forward to TOGA. The aircraft accelerates down runway. The only input I am putting in is rudder to keep on centre line. V1 is called and shortly afterwards the nose lifts automatically. I raise the undercarriage. The aircraft starts climbing. The green ascent angle indicator now raises towards the TOD. ALL OF THIS IS FANTASTIC. But EVERY TIME (10 tries so far) the ascent angle indicator continues to lift way past the planned climb line and TOD point to almost vertical. The VS indicator on the main glass panel shows a VS of up to 11000' a minute before the aircraft stalls. The aircraft then pitches into an almost vertical dive, recovers - but then this vertical pitch up and stall drop just repeats. Note I have not touched ANYTHING Everything else works a treat but the extreme pitch up and dive has happened on EVERY flight I've done - ones where I didn't know what I was doing and now the ones where I'm doing it by the book. Surely I must be committing a well known rookie error. Any clues what that might be? I can't find that, do you have a link? Yes, I am a customer. all I see is this: AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.
January 30Jan 30 The really thick blue bar at the top of the page clearly indicates that the registration process on the FSS discord has not been completed. Edited January 30Jan 30 by MaGer1965 'It is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.'

January 31Jan 31 Yes, you have to register your aircraft. In my case the buttons didn't work, so I had to contact support (as advised): Please see the last entry in the status page... 'It is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.'
January 31Jan 31 hence this? I knew why I hated anything discord. that all really sucks. I have to download a ZIP file, run a batch file, upload a LOG file just to read some support thread? ridiculous. thanks for your replies though! Ultimately, you can use Discord like a traditional forum. It's probably not much more than that. Old wine in new bottles. 😜 Edited January 31Jan 31 by MaGer1965 'It is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.'
January 31Jan 31 can it get any worse? and I thought flying a complex aircraft was complicated: AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.
