Freezing at 89% loading

Featured Replies

so when I was switching to dlss, I was scrolling through and it went to the amd version and it instantly froze. Had to kill it with task manager.

Now whenever I try to start the game, it freezes at 89%. So I have no way to actually get into the menu.

I have no clue of what to do.

That far along in loading I'd suspect a problem in your EXE.XML. Disable it and see if you can get to the main menu.

Similar issue but now the "escape to desktop" button appears. Yet it's still frozen

Just amazing 🤦‍♂️. One can play this game for a while without messing with any settings and then BAM, you can't even get to the start screen anymore.

Ok this 3rd video only happens when I don't run the game as administrator.

Edit. Nevermind

2nd edit. Now it freezes at 75% loading world data

Pretty much every time I've had hangs on loading it's been due to a conflict from the community folder. You haven't added anything recently?

Only sceneries

Maybe take those out first or load in safe mode if it gives you the option.

I took those out and I'm still having the same issues.

Only MSFS can catastrophically go wrong without any user input🤣😭.

Changing the AA settings was what triggered this whole mess

Safe mode doesn't work

Have you tried renaming the community folder and let the sim rebuild another one?

Yep. Nothing changed

I'll have to do a complete P.C factory reset at this rate.

Just goes to show that this game is still far from stable

Or just uninstall / reinstall. It's much quicker now.

Yea that worked.

Last time I had issues was when the fslabs a321neo stopped working, and not even an install/reinstall fixed it. Only a factory reset did the job

Fortunately in this case, an uninstall/reinstall worked.
