I loved this addon back in XP 11 days that gave a big lift to the ugly default assets. Most of that is already in xplane, just the artist has to implement, like taxi tyre marks, but even that can be overdone, The default assets have being improved vastly, i know cause fixing up default airports is what i do. Working on ksmf Sacramento right now, about 2 montgs spent on and off it so far.

I am also a XP gateway contributor and having this new addon that enhances my existing work is a big welcome. It is a big win for the XP end user. Random placement of artifacts to make an airport look "used" or busier can destroy the character of the actual airport. I've done a lot of artist work for Gateway. Many of the airports I've worked on have been butchered by other earlier artists who "junk up" airports with things that just aren't there in satellite images. I've flown into airports where there is no place to park, or no place suitable from which to depart because parking spots are the wrong size or there are fuel trucks and baggage carts in the way. I've seen traffic at little, quiet municipal airports with a single tied Cessna on the ramp. Automating scenery risks altering the real look of an airport. I prefer to let the artists work on these airports and let updated OSM scenery fill in the blanks. JMHO. That said, AEP is a good idea, but it risks becoming obsolete as LR works on XP13.
