Carenado aircraft is getting really bad concerning errors

Me, too!

the Longitude is honestly one of my most frequently flown addons.

i absolutely love the IRL relative simplicity of the cockpit combined with the WT G5000. And knowing all the work WT has put into ancillary systems such as modeling hydraulic pressure AND temperature, esp as of v2024, makes it my first choice for so many flights.

while I really like the Hi Fi airliners, the truth is they’re just more work than I want to do for a flight*

whereas with the Longitude (and TBM, and FSR 500), the focus is a lot more on flying and piloting rather than systems management.

The icing on the cake is that the Longitude is as fast, as high, and as far as a 737!

*I have to save my limited brain power for the very complicated DCS Hornet and DCS Apache 😂

First off, DCS is indeed serious stuff. I (no RW pilot) can more easily adapt to a new PMDG airliner than a DCS a/c, speaking from my own experience…maybe because I’m a civilian simmer at heart…🙂

Longitude (now) with its new and fully modeled Cabin in MSFS2024 is near complete as a wonderful SIM a/c to fly, a real testament to the efforts of the WT group.

I’ve already flown it a few times in MSFS2024 myself, rather easy to fly too…

But it does not replace my (beloved) Baby Boeing 737…🙂

  • True, but at least in FSX and P3D the community could fix most major issues.  Now, not so much.   The issue for me is less the fidelity and system depth - I had a couple of Carenado planes

Sometimes if I am short of time or just can't be bothered I don't really want to 'BlackSquare' it or 'A2A' it, in which case I will 'Carenado' it and just get in and fly. There is plenty of room in my

Same here.  In the past I bought (and enjoyed) a lot of their aircraft and took it for granted that system-wise they were sub par and/or contained multiple bugs Today, with vendors like Blacksquar

Yes, are we comparing:

The flight model of simulated a/c X with the flight model of the real a/c X

or

The realism of simulated a/c X with the realism of the real a/c X…?

The former can get pretty close to each other at the hands of a competent developer, if not exactly.

You outlined this quite well. We certainly know that certain a/c are replicated as close as possible as the sim permits in the above comparisons. In some respects many would consider realism overlapping with components of the flight model. When I first loaded up the A2A Comanche and absorbed the a/c response to the flight controls, I was very impressed and felt like I was in the real deal! The engine sounds fed into the realism as did the cockpit sounds.
I’m sure Carenado has produced some a/c with excellent flight modeling. Irrespective of not addressing certain problems, some of their interior and exterior texturing remains good that adds to the realism.
