February 2Feb 2 It's been said this developer is lacking in everything but the visual department but it's gotten really bad. Not sure on the 2024 side but when I see things like AI popping up for this developer's aircraft when I install them into the sim dragging down in sim performance, performance that is way off for the target aircraft, and the B390 with reverse thrusters modeled for an aircraft that doesn't have them, something is way off. Then this developer has the gall to encrypt its aircraft in the sim where you can't correct some of these issues is insulting. I'm done with buying or installing this developer's aircraft if free. This developer has closed themselves off from direct support, so I thought I'd try one last effort through the official forums to raise awareness with Microsoft that this partner has seriously fallen off 😵💫😣🫤: Carenado QA for it's aircraft is non-existent for MSFS2020 - Bug Reporting Hub / Aircraft & Systems - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums It's a shame as visually the aircraft released by Carenado is second to none. We'll see if Microsoft can shake the cobwebs off of this developer or is putting in a ticket a futile effort...😔 FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
February 2Feb 2 Why would MS care about the Premier? Not their plane. Besides, MS has no issue with buggy slop being old on the marketplace (See: MScenery). Carenado has always been like this.
February 2Feb 2 Flew the Premier from KTEX to KSDL early this morning. Guilty pleasures 🤫 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

It has not changed since the earliest times I/we know of them from our FS9/FSX times. The fact is enough of us (yours truly included) fly their a/c for our guilty pleasures…🙂…(see post above) so that the developer has stood the test time for decades, when we know several stalwarts of our earlier SIMs have vanished, with no presence in MSFS. I wish Carenado had been like e.g., Just Flight (in terms of evolution of system fidelity), which has advanced so significantly through the years. I had all of JF’s (so-called) “Lite” series jetliners; not buggy, but (surely) over-simplified. And look how respected, they have become in MSFS, producing high-quality a/c; flew their F28 jet recently. Do not expect MS to shake off anything significantly for Carenado. After I purchased the MS sponsored “Famous Flyer 10” Boeing 707-300 (by AH), I am not counting on it. Plus, the Marketplace is riddled with poor-quality add-ons (I would know because, being on Xbox, that’s my primary prowling zone…🙂…)… So, we have to choose, if we wish to fly a SIM a/c (we are fond of); visually good-looking, but lacking in fidelity, and more significantly not available in our SIM at the moment (or NOT). With that said, I’ve owned (most) of Carenado a/c in all SIMs…🙂… Even if I had not purchased a single one, I think, Carenado would still be here and thriving, as it is now. Cheers…!

The issue for me is less the fidelity and system depth - I had a couple of Carenado planes I occasionally enjoyed in P3D, despite the flight models being a bit off and the features a bit light - it's the outright bugs that never get addressed and now can't be fixed by the consumer. THAT to me is the showstopper. Scott
February 2Feb 2 Many folks feel Carenado's most recent offerings in 2024 have raised the bar a bit for them. I too do not agree that "it has not changed since the earliest times."
February 2Feb 2 The Mentor really is their masterpiece I think. Is it perfect? No, it's a Carenado. But I still love it, unapologetically. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

In the past I bought (and enjoyed) a lot of their aircraft and took it for granted that system-wise they were sub par and/or contained multiple bugs Today, with vendors like Blacksquare, I don't consider them anymore. However, at some point, the burden of fixing the technical deficiencies of the simulated a/c has to be taken over by the developer, rather than by the community. This has not happened in the case of Carenado. Nonetheless (no RW pilot here), but I am a passionate (aviation) enthusiast of the Beech and Piper airplanes, and their historic progress through the decades. So, I must get them…in the SIM. Flying a SIM a/c (even if imperfect) feels much better than just reading about them…🙂…

Yes, they had a few decent ones, here and there, but generally speaking….not true… I do recall that Mentor. Indeed, it was quite a good one, and I enjoyed flying it in the SIM, too.
February 2Feb 2 Sometimes if I am short of time or just can't be bothered I don't really want to 'BlackSquare' it or 'A2A' it, in which case I will 'Carenado' it and just get in and fly. There is plenty of room in my hangar for both. Silly to limit yourself when it is a simulator and you can have whatever you want. And anyone who thinks that any of them are anything like flying a real airplane are deluding themselves anyway 😉 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

The real bird doesn't have thrust reversers...😶 Also the ground speed indicator is no where to be found...🫤 FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
February 2Feb 2 I shut off both engines this morning by pulling each lever back all the way. It did not go into reverse. There is a little black tab at the base of each lever - click on that. It was never a problem until the T182T was released for MSFS and I found that aircraft all over the airport. Tried to create an edit to the marketplace install only to find Carenado is encrypting its files leaving these obvious oversites in place. I had to uninstall the aircraft because of this. Next came the PC24 in which I could stomach the AI because it's not showing up as much but the B390 is over the top with its issues (thrust reversers, performance, AI causing performance issues in MSFS, etc).
