Nope, not at all. Im not a fan of carbon offsets, but the wife you referred to might be. She might have a different opinion of them than you. Just pointing out factors to consider.

In essence, I dont think it's appropriate mention a person's wife, as you did. He is obviously not her. His opinions dont have to be hers. He is a separate entity, so your comments regarding her (a different person) choices aren't relevant.

I'm pretty good at understanding, to be honest, I know all kinds of clever things. Give it a try. 

It was quite clear what the implication was, namely, he extols the virtues of batteries but his wife has a gas guzzling business jet. As if it was some how hypocritical. It's not, they are two diferrent beings.
