Gold Beach, Oregon (4S1) Preview

Featured Replies

Hi again folks,

Went a little up the coast from KCEC into Oregon. Gold Beach is a charming little town with a seaside airport. Thought this one might need some attention in MSFS too. Should be ready in a few days - I am trying to improve the VFR area a bit, with some Rogue River harbor details, and also added the offshore Pyramid rocks that MSFS left out completely.

Thanks for making these Northern California and PNW airports.

I really wish that Imgur would sort out their issue with the UK. Half the screenshots on this site are now nothing more than a sea of purple with CONTENT NOT VIEWABLE IN YOUR REGION

I think you have that backwards...is it really Imgur that has the problem?

Sorry about that...I may have to explore a different hoster.

No worries at all...I have several more planned. Fortunately this is an area already covered by many scenery designers, so I am just trying to fill some gaps.

Awesome.  Cant wait to fly down to Brookings and Cresent City.  My Grandparents lived in for 60 years and died in Gold Beach and are buried there so we go every couple of years to honor them and have a bite to eat at the porthole and hang out at otter rock.  Sadly I understand the Jetty Cats are gone. I have thought of doing this airport myself, it looks great can't wait to fly there.

Awesome indeed! A family friend of my grandparents' owned a beachfront lodge there for many years, so I used to go as a kid sometimes.

Just released now, so enjoy! And of course, appreciate any suggestions for next time.
