March 29Mar 29 It's been a great little aircraft that's served Guernsey well. My daughter flew to Alderney on it, sadly I haven't flown in it. Nice they gave it a water cannon salute!!!!!!! Ignore the exclamation marks, they're for Mike. 😉 This video is unavailable. Edited March 29Mar 29 by martin-w

Had most of the ATR to myself. I flew on the Trilander when I was 17, the Dornier replaced the Trilander's. I think its a Twin Otter that will replace the Dornier.
March 29Mar 29 Blimey , John Morris, he taught me to fly at the Guernsey aero club back in 1990 ! 787 captain. Previously 24 years on 747-400.Technical advisor on PMDG 747 legacy versions QOTS 1 , FS9 and Aerowinx PS1.
March 29Mar 29 I wonder why they're replacing the Dornier 228s with DHC-6s? They're pretty similar planes, although the DHC-6 has better STOL capability. Dave For better operational reliability, Dave, and to reduce mainteinance cost. The Dorniers had limited parts availability. https://share.google/wVYzpbj7fiYlbW9o1 Edited March 29Mar 29 by martin-w
March 29Mar 29 Great send off for a great plane. Very cool that John Morris was your flight instructor Jon B. Thanks for the explanation for the switch from the Dornier 228s to the DHC-6s Martin. I especially liked the water cannon salute. I remember when I could pee like that🙁 Tom MAKA = Make America Kind Again

March 30Mar 30 I wasn't aware that your airline was all that interested in Manchester airport, Jon. It does puzzle me why that is the case.
