April 2Apr 2 I seem to be having a problem capturing the glideslope with the ILS 04 approach at IniBuilds EGSS London Stansted. The VOR/LOC signal is captured, but it never connects with the G/S. I have tried pressing the APP button before turning onto final approach, and also after I have turned onto final approach, but it does not make any difference. Is anyone else suffering from this problem, or is it exclusive to my installation? This is when flying the PMDG 737 in MSFS 2024. April 2Apr 2 I landed on 04 within the past couple of days with this scenery and I don't remember any ILS issues. April 2Apr 2 Try it with different aircraft to see if it's the scenery on your system or that aircraft. You were also intercepting from below the glide path? i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
April 3Apr 3 Author I was intercepting from below the glide path, like I do with all ILS approaches. I think I may have to uninstall and reinstall the airport to see if that makes a difference. April 3Apr 3 Do you get a glideslope indication (i.e. is the only problem that the autopilot isn't capturing), or do you get no glideslope indication either?

April 3Apr 3 Author Yes, that is disabled. Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
April 4Apr 4 I flew it the ILS04 in the C172 and it was solid. I wouldn't uninstall and reinstall the scenery until you have tried it with other aircraft. In the PMDG, did you confirm that the ILS was tuned in the nav radios etc? i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
April 4Apr 4 Author Yes, I have tried it several times in the PMDG 737 recently, and it failed to capture the glideslope every time. I will try in the PMDG 777F (currently the only other aircraft that I fly), and see if that works. April 4Apr 4 I tried again for you and I couldn't replicate any ILS issues and thats with the following: PMDG 737-800 Inibuilds EGSS Navigraph 2603 Rev 3 Vote to fix transparent sun visors having no effect on the sun glare effect in MSFS at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sun-shades-sun-visors-not-influencing-light-in-cockpit/691565/

April 7Apr 7 Author I experienced the same issue at UK2000 EGHH Bournemouth this evening when conducting an ILS approach to runway 08. However, this time I noted that the magenta "diamond" was not present on the MFA. I also noticed (after landing) that the COURSE had been reset from 075 degrees to 255 degrees. I assume that this is the reason why the glideslope was never captured. My question is.....how did the COURSE setting get changed? I definitely switched it to 075 degrees initially. I will need to check if something similar is happening at EGSS London Stansted. Curiously, the ILS frequency at both of them is 110.50.... I’ve had this once or twice and switching to the stby ILS frequency and then back to 110.5 usually fixed it. Might be more of a PMDG bug with some ILS approaches that use 110.5?
April 7Apr 7 Author It did cross my mind that it may be a bug, although I made the same approach to runway 08 at EGHH Bournemouth over the weekend, and the glideslope was successfully captured that time. Maybe it is an intermittent bug?
