April 19Apr 19 What this guy didn't mention is that whenever you do an NV GPU driver update the shader cache is automatically cleared and replaced with ones specific for the new driver you're installing. My best practice is every couple of months do a clean reinstall of the driver, or a newer driver version and usually will notice a slight improvement in animation quality, hence I do this ritual. What's not clear to me, since shaders installed are driver-specific that there is any need to do any clearing of shader caches as this new feature seems to offer. I've had recurrent issues with the NV App causing pretty severe impacts to frame time variance as captured on CapFrameX, so I've deleted the app after trying it a few times end up uninstalling it every time. I just did this driver replacement procedure a couple days ago, installing the current driver again, and here is the result: truly, perfection.
