iFly 737 MAX in MSFS 2024 - Simbrief fpl ?

I don't think the Payload & Fuel is able to syncronize anyway

Yeah, the iFly doesn't support that. It doesn't take long to type in the numbers in the EFB though.

I wonder if Service Pack 1 will have a weight/balance import.

@Farlis how do you fetch it? what is the exact procedure you follow? Thx !

Step by step 😉

- File a Simbrief flightplan and pick B38M as Aircraft Type and then I pick one of my presaved Aircraft Variants of Registrations I saved on the basis of the I-Fly model. This step is only to make sure the fuel calculations are correct, you could theoretically file this with any aircraft type, it doesn't matter.

- Fire up the sim and load the I-Fly at the gate, all cold and dark.

-connect groundpower through the efb

-Initialize the flight in the EFB

-Bring up the Power in the aircraft-

- set the Pos INIT page

- go to the RT1 Page and press Route Request

- wait about 7-10 seconds until it changes to Route 1 Uplink Ready and then press FLT Plan Load.

-wait another 5 seconds until its loaded. Done

To get this to work you have to to the set up your simbrief connection in the EFB properly.

To achieve this click System Page on the bottom left, then on the Sim Menu Page you have Failures on the top left and ACARS on the top right.

Press ACARS and put your Sim Brief ID into the Box on the following page. That is the NUMBER not the Name. Then click SET at the bottom left of that page.

Done.

@Farlis, thanks do much.

Most of what you recommend I've done already. But I will try again....

So,

I am now stuck with:

.) not being able to open their Discord support chammel because it tells me my account is already associated with another Discord account, which is probably teh case because I stopped using the 737 MAX long ago still in MSFS 2020, and meanwhile changed Discord;

.) I somehow circumvented the flightplan problem using the Simbrief Downloader app, and pointing it to the correct folder, but the winds data uplink, which I download to that same folder, doesn't load into the FMC 😞

Well... wrote a post at their forum, General forum, and will see how it goes...

Yes, the iPad in SP1 contains several options to load data to the aircraft, including a one-click "load all" option that uplinks route and perf init to the FMC as well as loading fuel and payload to the aircraft.  It's seamless.  It's honestly the best EFB implementation I've seen in MSFS.

As far as the OP, yes the current release version of the aircraft does uplink route correctly.  It also uplinks both enroute and descent winds.  You just have to request them via the FMC, as is done in the real aircraft.  The enroute winds are requested via the Legs --> RTE Data Page.  Descent winds are requested via the Descent --> Forecasts page.

I'm doing all of the necessary moves, but the flightpan always uplinks with error 😕

Not to go OT and risk the wrath of others but any feel for how progress is coming along for SP1?

More importantly, will it solve the slalom after steep turns?

It's really polished.  I wouldn't be someone to hear about estimated release dates so I have no idea there, sorry.  My personal impression is that they've got almost all of the intended work done at this point (I think I heard some further cabin polishing for the 8200 model is ongoing), but yeah I would think it's "close", in terms of work left to do.  How that translates to time, I don't know.

Can you elaborate?  I'm not sure I've ever done truly steep turns with it, but I absolutely love the flight model and have never noticed any tendency to oscillate in bank when rolling into or out of turns regardless of bank angle (is this what you mean?).  There is a tendency to roll out of a bank that starts becoming noticeable around 25 degrees of bank, requiring some continuous aileron pressure into the turn to maintain constant bank angle, but this accurately reflects the inherent lateral stability of the real aircraft.
