FSLTL is back

Featured Replies

FSLTL is back in business as long as you have a Navigraph subscription. And with a much better set-up UI. Working great for me. Hooray!

Ah! I've noticed that there's another thread about this....

It's odd, but I had been using FSLTL with MSFS24 for ages when they still had free access to data from FR24.

It worked almost flawlessly, schedules mainly correct and a lot of arriving an departing traffic.

I have now bought a Ultimate subscription with Navigraph and have live traffic once again, but full of bugs. Arrivals landing and continuing on into the distance, no aircraft departing, planes circling continuously.

I wonder what changed? My MSFS setup is the same. FSLTL injector is up to date. No changes in scenery...

Regards.

Did you change any settings? Check my post above.

Seems to be gummed up on my end as far as FSHUD & FSLTL Navigraph together. It's like FSLTL is getting locked up occasionally or ET ain't answering the phone.

I had a go at the "new" FSLTL yesterday as I am a navigraph subscriber, a lot of flights indicated they were pushing back via the FSLTL text screen/box, only for most of them to time out and self-delete minutes later. I finally saw some action with a Qantas 787 pushing back and looking good while doing so, just then 2 other planes came from nowhere and proceeded to perform a fly-by at about 50 feet above the runways, just like the default Asobo AI used to do (when I last used it way back when).

Instant immersion kill.

I've had similar mixed results with live traffic lately. The nice part is the schedules and models are there when it works, but I still don't trust it for a flight where I want the airport to behave predictably.

For IFR I usually prefer the more controlled setup with AIG and FSHud, even if it's less 'live'. At least the traffic flow and sequencing are more repeatable. FSLTL coming back is good news, but I think it still needs a bit of settling down before I would call it reliable again.

Sorry if this question’s been asked before, but I couldn’t find an answer: For those of us without a Navigraph subscription (too expensive for my income), is it possible to use FSLTL (at least its liveries and models) with default traffic? Does it require any special configuration?

Regards

Yes, the base model package is still useful without the live injector/Navigraph. Install the FSLTL base models through the FBW installer and leave the sim's own AI or real-time traffic enabled; the sim can use the installed models and liveries for matching. The Navigraph part is for the new FSLTL live traffic feed, not just for having the model library present.

I wouldn't expect exactly the same behaviour as the injector though. Default traffic is still default traffic, so matching and airport behaviour can be hit and miss. For a no-subscription setup it's worth trying, just keep expectations modest.

Thats exactly what I'm looking for. I don't need anything else. Thanks for clarifying it.
