ATR 72 MSFS 2024 - AAU 4
I’ve only had a quick look at the exterior in the cargo version. But I can’t find the clickspot to close the cargo bay door. How to do it? Update: I've just discorvered that it is possible to close cargo door from the Aircraft section of the ATR EFB.

FSLTL is back
Sorry if this question’s been asked before, but I couldn’t find an answer: For those of us without a Navigraph subscription (too expensive for my income), is it possible to use FSLTL (at least its liveries and models) with default traffic? Does it require any special configuration? Regards

Beta Test: Old FFB joystick (ffb on) Linux - MSFS 24/XP12
I’m surprised your announcement didn’t get more traction. There are a lot of us (or at least I’d like to think so, judging by the FFB requests on the official forum) who still use FFB2 in every session. Both under W11 with FS24 and Linux with Xplane12. Personally, I can’t use any simulator anymore without trim input. Unfortunately I'm stuck using very old apps (Airforce Player or simFFB) that not only were abandoned by their authors but also don't take advantage of what the simulator's API can do. And there's no way to access the original code to bring them up to date. I refuse to use Xforce because its developer keeps charging for it despite not providing support. For all these reasons, I encourage you to consider releasing the app under an open-source license that fits your needs. At the same time, I’d urge you to provide a way for people to donate for the time you’ve put into this project. I think FFB2 still has a lot of potential. Not only does it work fine after all these years, but it could also be the basis for countless mods. I've been considering building a yoke based on its hardware for several years. I'm currently learning electronics and Arduino, and it's one of the projects I'd like to take on. Thanks a lot for your initiative.

Anyone else creating custom checklists?
You aren't alone in this. I believe it’s the best way to learn the details of how to handle a plane. It's very frustrating when, after spending a significant amount of money on an addon, the checklist is very basic (without any mention of the flows, the real deal!) or even lacks a checklist entirely. On those situations, the only way is investigate and create your own checkflowlist.

I can’t wait for the Black Square Caravan Professional
it seems we're approaching: https://community.justflight.com/post/47184 And very interesting post about cargo (I'm drooling thinking about the possibilities): https://community.justflight.com/topic/10018/about-cargo-management-with-the-super-cargomaster

I can’t wait for the Black Square Caravan Professional
I assume that since the market for Xplane is too small and they have to share the profits, it wouldn’t be profitable for both parties. Who knows? But I agree that their collaboration brought some great addons.

I can’t wait for the Black Square Caravan Professional
From what I've seen, the earliest announcements about the upgrade program date back to 2010. Like this one: https://www.aviationpros.com/home/press-release/10393168/yingling-aviation-cessna-garmin-and-cav-aerospace-team-to-upgrade-fedex-express-caravan-fleet

I can’t wait for the Black Square Caravan Professional
Fedex is using G600: It's the only piece we need to create an almost exact replica of these feeders. BTW, could anyone direct me to a copy of any kind of FedEx ops manual for the Caravan? I've been searching for one for years.

I can’t wait for the Black Square Caravan Professional
I check the Just Flight forum daily to see if there are any updates. They mentioned that they'll be posting a development status update soon, and maybe even the manual. That would be perfect for customizing the checklist to fit my needs. As someone else pointed out on the forum, I’ve also been waiting for years for a Super Cargo Master. I think the last decent one we had was the FeelThere version for FS9. The Carenado version for FSX was really nice, but way too basic. Beautiful, but lacking depth. What’s truly amazing is that I never imagined we’d actually see a study-level Super Cargomaster. It feels like a dream come true. Finally, we’ll be able to simulate FedEx feeders operations in a realistic way. I also want to give a shout-out to the Thranda Caravan for X-Plane. I think it’s an outstanding add-on. While I think it's to early to compare both of them, I suspect that in terms of turbine simulation and dynamics, it won't fall short at all. Unfortunately, it's lagging in many other areas, especially visually, with several glitches, including some pretty annoying ones in the panel (like I mentioned on their forum). It’s a shame that the developers aren’t planning to update it in the near future. It’s a fantastic addon to help pass the time until BS finally releases their version. Anyway, you aren't alone. I can't wait too.

Brunner teases us a new product
After carefully studying the image on the teaser page, I believe it gonna be a base for a stick rather than what I initially expected, which was a yoke. I agree with you. I think this is an issue that all FFB products are suffering from right now. The lack of support and documentation from MS/Asobo is leading to the absence of a minimum standard to work with. On top of that, the high price of these units doesn't help increase the user base, which in turn doesn't put pressure on MS/Asobo. Unfortunately, although X-Plane does provide that documentation and support, the user base is too small for the investment that these types of products require. It's a shame because Austin has offered his help and support in this regard on several occasions.

BlackBird Sims scooped again: another SR-71 released today..
- BlackBird Sims scooped again: another SR-71 released today..
All the very deep features commented in this post are music to my ears. BUT, and I think this is very important for a study level product like this one: will we have documentation and tutorials for all these procedures you are discussing, or will we only receive a simple checklist and the orginal POH? It’s a shame that many study-level products, after tons of hours of development and investment, are forgotten precisely because of this: the documentation included does not provide an in-depth explanation of the features that the add-on offers. In most cases, it's justified that all the information is found in the POH, but honestly, I think that's shooting oneself in the foot. I believe that the magnitude of this add-on, given how iconic this aircraft is and the complexity you mention it will offer, deserves detailed information on how to use it. It would be very disappointing, and a mistake on BlackBird's part, not to invest in comprehensive documentation and to offer only the checklist, a copy of the POH, and a few basic video tutorials, or even worse, to expect that some YouTubers—most of whom have little knowledge on the subject—will train future users.- Kodiak frustration - How's the Caravan in MSFS 2024?
I often use the default model in FSeconomy. While the 3D model is great and the flight dynamics are decent, the system simulation is pretty basic. Especially considering I used the community-modified addon in 2020, which added a bunch of little details that made it way more interesting and interactive. That said, the G1000 simulation by Working Title is fantastic and makes up for a lot of the limitations. So, I’d encourage you to give it a try while we wait for the new Caravan from Blackbox, which they’ve confirmed is expected to be released in Q4. I hope it helps!- WB Sim 152 v.2.1.0
Thank you! It works. But now, you have to wait 10 minutes before clicking on the reaction-eyes icon.- WB Sim 152 v.2.1.0
it looks like all the posted invitations to his discord server are expired. Could someone share it again, please? Thank you.- FSLTL Update
Yep, I'm using FS2024. I didn't create mipmaps, could it be the reason? Do you create them?- FSLTL Update
Not in my case. I reduced them to 512 and it worked correctly without update the .json. Do you move the original files to other folder and renamedthe rescaled ones?- FSLTL Update
After reading your comments, I decided to try something crazy: I reduced the textures to 512!!! And I have to say I'm amazed. Considering the distance at which I see the planes while taxiing, the quality it's more than enough. But the best part is how much the VRAM drops, even using FBW 320. I've got KSEA and LEMD at fullest like I've never seen since the FS9 days. And my VRAM is at 85-90% with hardly any drop in frame rate. Note: I have LossLess Scale adaptive and AutoFPS (with LOD set to 100). thank you so much!- MSFS Auto FPS App
What happens if we have one of these new options configured as off in the sim settings? For example, RT shadows is one of the first things I turned off in the sim because it destroys my 3070. I assume the app won't modify that, right?- MSFS Auto FPS App
I'm just remembering that the other day, while flying over a photogrammetry area, I thought it might be useful to have a third profile, in addition to the VFR and IFR ones, but just for those areas that demand so much. I often find myself having to manually adjust the TLOD parameters when I'm flying over these areas, while outside of them, the VFR and IFR settings work just fine for me.- MSFS Auto FPS App
First off, I haven’t had the chance to keep up with the latest beta on GitHub, but I did get to test the latest release a bit, and the results, along with the newest version of Lossless Scale, are absolutely amazing. With a base framerate of 30 and a Gsync-compatible monitor, I’m hitting 120 frames with barely any glitches and no annoying stutters. Thanks to your tips, I’m keeping the VRAM in check during the trickiest scenarios using DLSS Quality. The app hardly needs to adjust the TLOD due to excess VRAM. In my 40 years of simming, I’ve never had such a smooth experience with a simulator. I totally get it, but it really bums me out that your efforts aren’t getting recognized on the official forum; it feels really unfair. As for the settings that impact VRAM usage the most, as I mentioned before, I think one of the key ones is the offscreen terrain pre-cache. I’m sure that in extreme situations, reducing it would free up resources right away, especially VRAM. The other parameter is texture size, but unfortunately, we know we can’t change that on the fly without restarting the simulator. I agree that OLOD has almost no impact on performance. Another one that comes to mind is the number of AI flights, but I imagine it must be pretty complicated to modify that in real-time. I still don’t get why there isn’t a setting to adjust the resolution of the AI liveries like there is for reflections or shadows. We’re forced to rescale them manually. And it’s crazy how much memory those 4K textures and the new 8K ones are demanding (are they really necessary?) - BlackBird Sims scooped again: another SR-71 released today..
