Tuesday at 11:56 AM2 days Thranda was working on Carenado updates, then Carenado stopped giving them permission to do so. Yes, it's their choice. Just isn't very friendly to the simming community. I'll never purchase any Carenado product again for that reason, first because I don't use XP11 and second, I vote with my wallet and their are other XP12 developers who need my support.
Tuesday at 01:18 PM2 days Developers don't quit because of some NDA or prohibition to develop for platform x or y, but rather because the other side made an attractive offer and manpower is never enough to cater to two parties at once.Thranda very likely quit the partnership with Carenado to work for JustFlight, who simply made them a better offer. Unable to recruit new talent themselves or contract it out, Carenado then simply called it quits. Having to share the proceeds of every sale with a third party likely wasn't the most profitable affair either.Carenado is at least fair enough to allow third party updates to their products for XP12 (and beyond), as long as only the files that had to be changed are distributed.Still, each of their products is on borrowed time in XP12 and therfore shall not be bought. As for developer loyalty, my purchase decisions are primarily driven by the need for a product, product support and long-term support strategy and not by the brand itself. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

The lack of ongoing updates, bug fixes, etc. were really annoying. and again, it’s not just their XP addons - that’s their MO in MSFS, too. So, while I hold no ill will towards them, they’ve earned their last dollar from me unless they step up.
