For the first, follow the Colorado River westward and you'll fly over Castle Valley UT, which is every bit as amazing as Canyonlands. You'll also pass over Arches National Park, Moab, and then Canyonlands. For the other, follow I-70 westward to Green River, UT, then continue west for another 15 miles or so. As you pass over the San Rafel Swell (the landscape changes radically, so you'll know it when you see it), turn north and follow the ridgeline. It's fantastic. Richard P. Kelly
