Have recently bought the Aerosoft CRJ. When trying to import simbrief weights I always get an MZFW error. Doesn't seem to matter what I enter into the efb my Center of Gravity is off the chart. Am I missing something here ?

Did you verify Kgs or Lbs?

I struggled with this error, too. After a lot of frustration, I googled "aerosoft crj msfs 2024 exceed maximum weight"), and the AI overview response was as follows:

"To fix the maximum weight error in the Aerosoft CRJ (or CRJ V2), avoid using the default MSFS menu. Instead, manage all weights and fuel exclusively via the aircraft's EFB (Electronic Flight Bag).

Here is the exact step-by-step process to resolve the limitation:

1. Zero Out in MSFS: On the main MSFS aircraft selection screen, set fuel and payload to 0 to start with an empty aircraft.

2. Load the CRJ: Spawn at your departure gate in MSFS 2024.

3. Use the EFB to Load: Open the CRJ's EFB tablet and navigate to the Weight and Balance page. Input your passenger count, cargo weight, and fuel load here.

4. Send to Sim: Click the button to Load Aircraft (or "Send to Sim"). If issues persist, verify this step by clicking it twice to ensure the weights take effect in the simulator.

5. Check Limits: The EFB will automatically flag or prevent you from exceeding the Zero Fuel Weight (ZFW), Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW), or Maximum Landing Weight (MLW)."

I didn't import the Simbrief weights at all, and I followed the steps above. I did use the Simbrief info (passenger count, fuel load, etc.), but I entered that info in the EFB myself.

This worked for me, although YMMV.

Or you could have ask for help on Aerosoft support forum. That was a silly AI reply back. Why bother?

Follow up:

I only have the Aerosoft CRJ in MSFS2020.

Which CRJ (550/700/900/1000) are you using?

If you give me your weight / performance data / screenshot I will see if I get the same error.

Yes, I did check there fourm and saw they don't reply to anything. I won't be buying anything from Aerosoft again

Can you do a screenshot or video?

Did your Simbrief OFP show a MXFW problem when you first generated the plan?

Whenever I plan a flight through Simbrief, I always use the MSFS 2024 EFB to load fuel, weights, and flight plan. For every other aircraft I own, importing fuel, weights, and flight plans works fine.

For the Aerosoft CRJs, I initially did exactly the same thing as for all my other aircraft, but I would always get MZFW overweight issues that just couldn't be solved through editing the fields on the CRJ EFB. It was extremely frustrating.

As others have noted, checking the Aerosoft forums was unhelpful, whereas googling what I did solved the problem.

So ... to get the error and to answer your question, import via the MSFS 2024 EFB fuel, weights, and flight plan before you start your flight with one of the CRJs, and you will get the error.

I use MSFS2020 so no MSFS2024 EFB.

I use the CRJ's EFB and no problem.

Do you use the CRJ's EFB (not MSFS2024 EFB) after the CRJ loads to import SimBrief data?

The OP never mentioned MSFS 2024 EFB to load fuel, weights, and flight plan.
