Can't get GSX and multi jetways from iniBuilds to work

Featured Replies

I'm currently at iniBuilds VHHH using the iniBuilds A350. Click GSX to connect jetways and nothing happens. Use the multi jetways tool which works fine.

Then I request boarding and they all board via a bus from the rear stairs.

Am I doing something wrong?

GSX only supports standard jetways which reads using the Simconnect Navdata API, it can't detect custom systems.

It might be possible that, once we'll release the GSX multi-jetway update we might support other custom systems in addition to GSX own (the one that will be introduced with that update), but I can't promise they will because no work has been done to analyze the issue.

Surely, GSX own multi-jetway system will work with every 3rd party airports that has standard jetways and, in most cases, will be able to use multi-jetways with no need to update the airport.

Well, this was so predictable that this was going to happen the moment inibuilds presented their own multijetway tool. I am absolutely unsurprised...

Seeing this problem too, testing a lot of times without sucess, passengers board with rear stairs all the time despite multijetways are correctly connected to the A350 or A340.

Tested in KORD and VHHH (inibuilds).

Did you test what happens if you uninstall the multi jetway tool? Does this at least restore full GSX functionality? If yes, there is at least some hope...

I was a little unsurprised that the multi-jetway tool didn't work with GSX. However, I thought that GSX would still be able to operate if I didn't use the multi-jetway tool

It even says on the iniBuilds forum:

The Multi-Jetway System has been designed to work alongside the wider Microsoft Flight Simulator ecosystem, including GSX. While the feature operates independently, it is compatible with community-developed GSX profiles, allowing users to enjoy realistic boarding operations alongside multiple connected passenger boarding bridges.

If they can't get GSX to work with the multi-jetways at their own airport, with their own aircraft (A350), then surely this statement is totally untrue?
