Area Amsterdam Schiphol : color differrences ( seasons ? )

Featured Replies

Does anyone of you see these color diferences near Amsterdam Schiphol ? ( you can see Schiphol in the distance ) Where it looks that two seasons are being mixed ?

To be sure I disabled the FlyTampa version and used the default version. Already I deleted the Rolling Cache. TLOD is at 400.

I think its the change over into Photogrammetry from Autogen.

It's gotta be the City Update for Amsterdam.

BTW, the next time please crop your screenshots down and don't just upload them to the hoster as is. They take forever to load because they are so big.

Thanks guys. Now I know that it is not a messed sim.

Currently I am testing all maps from the Map Enhancement Tool ( Pro ) and found that some tiles with color differences suddenly look normal when disableing Photogrammetry. I have to test if this also happens when using the default Bing map.

Here the same with the default Bing map

PG On ( look at the right side )

IMG-5798.jpg

PG Off

There is more to it than the default Bing map has almost no issues. This is just near Amsterdam and FT Schiphol. There are more places in the Netherlands without airports and other countries ( checked several places at Italy ) where you see color differences when using PG Enabled.

The Map Enhancement Tool cannot replace PG tiles so there wil always be color differences with PG On.

Only when using the Map Enhancement Tool with other Mpas than the Bing map, these places become more obvious. So I settled for Bing Latest + Fall back : Default Bing Map + Replacement Buildings. And Ground Detail Adjustment set to Medium, so sharper than the default MSFS 2024 Ground Textures.

It all depends in what area you are flying.

The Apple Map Pro is very good if not the best. I choose latest Bing to make the color differences between PG Tiles and the other Map Tiles as little as possible.

Just playsed around with the Brightness ( -20 ) and Saturation ( -10 ) settings and was able to make the overall look much better icw PG tiles.
