Well guys, after a few days of set up and buying various add-ons the sim is running exceptionally well indeed..i feel i have been missing out somewhat not trying this sooner!

The ToLiss A320 is utterly fantastic... i thought i could fly the Airbus as the Fenix is up there too... but having just flown into Windy Wellington (NZ) the flight modelling is on another level for XP-12...

I have the scenery enhancements that all have.. i tend to have random houses appear on the tarmac in the airports at times... actually both in Auckland and Wellington... not entirely sure how to remove those or why they are there?'

Talking about NZ, i can seem to find any freeware or payware airports for NZ... unless im missing something...

Any-who, this sim is just absorbing... loving it!

Cheers

Would love to see some video of your flying!!

Very early on with XP12 ans NZ simmer republished basically every airport in NZ from large to small strips by updating his massive collection from XP11 to XP12 standard. The downloads are still about but you will have to look for them and then it is place by place or airport or airport by airport as far as the download data goes. Worth the time and trouble the author also advised no more after this for what it is worh.

Good luck have fun

If there are NZ airports that have scenery issues (WITHOUT add-on scenery) they should be listed at the Gateway site as "wanted" airports so one of the artists can fix them for default XP12.

It was a full crab flight on finals in NZWN 34... with gusts of 33 knots! We got down alright but the poor passengers! LOL

The two shortest parts of the flight are what keep me coming back to XP:

Ground handling and takeoff/landing.

But since those parts naturally bookend every single flight, they have an outsized impact on my sense of satisfaction with any given flight

And even tho I have some of the best aircraft addons for each sim, I’ve yet to find an addon where I prefer to fly it in MSFS than in XP.

This should keep you busy, vonduck... Rgds from NZNR

You might need a Mega account. In the meantime, here's the actual author on the org. He's something of a pal...

https://forums.x-plane.org/files/file/90051-nzch-christchurch/

If you are seeing random trees etc where they shouldn't be, it's probably something amiss in your scenery.ini file. Post it here and we'll take a look.

Is this the one you mean Brian? The scenery packs.ini?

Thanks also for taking the time to do this... much appreciated! Still super green at the X-Pane formatting and finer details of installing things..!

Yes, that's the correct file. Might be better to discuss this via a PM or starting a conversation via email. I am at [email protected]
