September 24Sep 24 My Thrustmaster TCA Joystick gave up on me, so I was forced to buy a new joystick so I got the Ursa Minor instead, and I'm kind of pleased with it. BUT, I use it also for my rudders (Joystick Laxis Z), but I think it feels toooo hard to twist it, which makes it nearly impossible to turn on the ground. According to Winctrls manual, it's possible to adjust the tension with the screws in the bottom, but only for the X & Y axis, not the Z axis. Do you have the same "problem" or any advice on what I can do to make it less "tight"? Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. September 24Sep 24 Hmmm... i have the same stick and just tried it now (although use rudder pedals and tiller) and felt fine to twist...I did adjust my tension up for the X & Y (bit too much i think) but never touched the Z axis... perhaps the tension of the other 2 axis impacts on the Z?I can turn mine with 2 fingers easily if needed... strange that your is so hard to twist? i9 13900KF @ 5.5Ghz | MoBo MSI PRO Z690-A WiFi | Corsair Vengeance Black RGB RS 64gb DDR4 3200MHz | MSI GeForce RTX 5090 Vanguard SOC 32GB | MP33 Pro 1TB M.2-2280 NVME SSD for OS | Samsung 870 QVO 2.5" 4TB SSD SATA2 | Samsung 990 PRO 2TB | Corsair RM1000X 2021 1300W 80 Plus Gold PSU | Antec Dark Fleet DF700 Flux Gaming Case | Win 11 home | Samsung 65" 4K TV | Logi Wireless Keyboard | Logi Wireless M340 Mouse | WinCtrl URSA MINOR 32 Throttle Metal / 32 PAC Metal | WinCtrl Ursa Minor Sidestick |Velocity One Rudder | WinCtrl FCU and EFIS | WinCtrl MCDU | Stream Deck XL | Home Cockpit setupDoug

September 25Sep 25 Author I would appreciate any suggestions, cause it's really tight and it hurts in my wrist if there's just a little crosswind, I have tried in hardware settings, but no matter how high/low I put it, that doesn't help. I hesitate to open the bottom and mess with the three screws, as I'm no tech nerd and as I mention in my first post, the screws are only for the X and Y axis. I have an old Thrustmaster Hotas One joystick, and it works perfectly, so it's definetly the Ursa which is the problem. Maybe I have wasted my money, but I hope I can figure out what's wrong with it. The Ursa Minor joystick is the best bang for the buck in my opinion also. So many buttons. I use it with the A-10C in DCS and MSFS using the built-in sim modifiers. Like @vonduck, I too can turn my Z axis with just two fingers, and I didn't have to make any adjustments. All default settings. WinCtrl very recently came up with a partner throttle for that joystick. The Ursa Minor throttle: PurchaseWINCTRL URSA MINOR Combat HOTAS-Official Store for WINCTRLWith the Ursa Minor joystick having so many buttons already, it's hard to find a reason to buy it. September 27Sep 27 Author I didn't have to make any adjustments. All default settings. You haven't changed anything in the Hardware sensitivity settings?I have tried everything on 0, and tried all axis' on both - & + at different values, but to no avail. I agree that it's a great joystick, but this problem takes the fun out of it. Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. September 27Sep 27 I'm coming from the same path... TCA sticks got bogus and got the ursa minor... Honestly at least on my hardware version its indeed little bit stiffer than the way old normal TCA but mostly identical to the TCA X stick. I have it in use for more than a year now and still quite happy. If you keep the little pads on the base clean the ursa minor is def glued to the desk in contrast to the much worse TCA stick and using the z axis def no problem on my side for the tiller (rudder on pedals).

If it's the solution you can post the solution here so that it may help others having similar problem.
