We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

It's not FR24, nice clickbait title mr. youtuber

From the addon's page:

"this app relies on real, FREE, open ADS-B data rather than FR24 data"

Edited by Tuskin38

It begs the question, why haven't other apps been able to get this same data?

The video shows the plane just dancing on the runway and not really taking off. Supposedly it doesn't work with ATC either. Shows promise with some updates, but not sure if that's really useable based on what the video showed.

Pure Live Traffic (like tracking every movement) will never work with ATC.

It uses the same ADS-B data as FR24, so you should see the same planes.

Regarding injecting planes into MSFS 2024 and their movements : this app is probably on the same level were PSXT was 8 years ago….

For those who don't want to watch a video https://flightsim.to/addon/116297/livetraffic

Tested it few days ago. It's very nice to see this momentum and energy of the community. And it's freeware. Nice looking interface. It worked as expected for a new ADSB injector at one or two airports I visited. For example at LFPO, some - if not all traffic - disappear after their landing (deceleration or once vacated), some weird GA traffic injected at apron at International airport, traffic spawning at holding point, erratic movement... And as it's "realtime" data, here in Paris at 7:56am local time (5:56z), it's a weird configuration at KSFO ;)

Even if the tool claim to "require" FSLTL models, it works with AIG library.

PS: this morning (CET), to have a second look I had to remove this addon installation folder and re-install it. Go figure.

Actually, there're difference in term of data between adsb.fi + adsb.lol (optionnaly OpenSky network) and FlightRadar 24, no ? Unfiltered, military/government for example came first in my mind, although I don't know if it's used by the LiveTraffic - MSFS2024 tool. In my place, .fi and .lol can display traffic invisible to FR24 even if it's small. In area lot of receivers are and so coverage is good, the gap is small. But in area where FR24 has more of their proprietary receivers, no ? The world is big isn't it ;) ?

Copy/Paste of the author's warning:

Attention: this app relies on real, FREE, open ADS-B data rather than FR24 data. Consequently, traffic coverage may be incomplete or entirely absent in many regions of the world. Furthermore, the quality of the traffic display depends directly on the quality of the incoming data; I cannot guarantee perfectly smooth or precise aircraft movement, as this is beyond my control - though I do everything possible to optimize the way the movement is rendered.

Since the maturity of traffic injection from ATC addons (BATC, SI...), "real time" ADSB traffic injectors are a no go for my usage as ATC communications is key.

Years, people complained about flightplans that where not accurate, planes not following the real world taxi ways and planes taking off from/ landing on different runways than in real live.

Flightplan based Traffic programs for me are the same as using preset based weather instead of using real weather .

This seems a good Live Traffic option for anyone who doesn't have access to feeds via Navigraph or Real Traffic
(quick slightly off-topic note: you can actually get the Real Traffic feed for free if you provide them with ADSB data)
