December 4, 200223 yr Author You guys really are incredible! Thanks for the help. You know, I got all the way through Engineering school with just a slide rule. This computer thingy really baffles me sometimes!!!!Scott: Thanks for the help. The author of the scenery is Paul Roberts.:-wave Steve

December 4, 200223 yr Steve,I DL'ed the KCLE update - which is only the new terminal and concourse and lighting and ramps. It's not replacement scenery, so no flatten switch needed. So that now brings up a couple questions:1) exactly which gate did you move to, and2) where can I get the aircraft you're using (I've fixed all mine)Actually, if you can e-mail me your saved flight (*.flt), the steps you took, and the DL aircraft file name, that'll do better. Then I can hopefully find this sucker.
December 4, 200223 yr Author Scott, I also had installed the CLE AFCAD files for the downloaded scenery so I have 2 airports in CLE: KCLE & 2CLE. I was at Parking 22 for 2CLE (about Gate D-6). I was using Bill Grabowski's ERJ panel (for FS2002) and Nick Botamer's US ERJ files (Co-Exp). (I was on Bill's Beta team) I couldn't save the flt as a .flt due to the "short duration" of my flight. :-lol I disabled the scenery and tried it again, starting out where Parking 22 would be (in FSNav). Same result. Took off like a rocket.I wasn't in slew mode so hitting the "A" and "F1" keys didn't do any good. My speed showed at 234 when I un-paused! ??????? Tomorrow, I'll try to drive to the gate from another part of the airport (after I try to load RC there). Later. It's bed time. Thanks for the help. Steve
December 4, 200223 yr Steve, Try putting the sim into slew mode while still paused. Then unpause, F1 to the ground in slew, and unslew.Best, Rob
December 4, 200223 yr Happens to me all the time if I slew my plane and forget to make sure it's firmly on the ground before exiting slew mode. If the wheels are not absolutely on the ground the plane will take off like a rocket. Really weird. I think they may actually have designed it to work like that on purpose, but I can't recall why. Heck, I can't even imagine why. Anyway, that's probably the cause of Steve's problem.Sidney Schwartz [KPDX]Horizon Pilot--flight plans and scenery for FS2002http://sidneyschwartz.homestead.com/index.htmlhttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg
December 4, 200223 yr Sid, This oddball technique works quite well for carrier launchs in my S-2 Tracker! :-)Rob

December 4, 200223 yr Clever!Too bad this technique can't be used in real life. "Cessna one lima gulf, cleared for take...holy !@#$!!!Sidney Schwartz [KPDX]Horizon Pilot--flight plans and scenery for FS2002http://sidneyschwartz.homestead.com/index.htmlhttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg
