July 8, 200619 yr Is it possible to have a pilot voice response added to RC that says something along the lines of "For Pete's sake, I'm doing it!" or "Give me a break - I've only got one pair of hands!" or similar other messages?I ask because after being asked to descend or to turn to a new heading, and acknowledging, within 10 seconds the controller will be on saying either "watch your altitude...." or "I say again turn to 320 deg..."After one such altitude admonition, when the a/craft was already descending and I was confident I would reach the new level in 30 miles, I replied "unable" just to be awkward. That shut her up! ;-)Iain
July 9, 200619 yr Having the controllers "lighten up" is an item on the v5 list. I don't mind doing that, but it won't be by much ;-).

July 18, 200619 yr haha. My primary encounter with this is during the climb--climbing to 10k on a hot day in the realair 172, the climb rate drops to 100-200 fpm and I get yelled at constantly. Appropriate and even amusing. Sure makes me feel inadequate around all the big boys! I'm doing the best I can!
July 18, 200619 yr Moderator You shouldn't get nagged for a 100-200fpm climb rate. When I take Concorde up the climb rate can be as low as 100fpm and RC doesn't complain.I'm not sure of the minimum acceptable climb rate but maybe JD could give us a clue.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England).
