  1. I would prefer the An-225/spaceshuttle approach! Or perhaps on a pylon under a wing? Glued to the belly of the T7 like a backup RAT? I have plenty of good ideas!
  2. Aha, so that is a bug! I purchased the airplane, got no clickspots to work and started scratching my head. While I was still scratching my head a few hours later the PMDG 777 was released and after that... well, let's say I lost focus on other airplanes! My plan now is to fly the 777 to different areas of the world on Vatsim, and then go exploring the area with the 172! Yup, I have ORBX global!
  3. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/419504-throttle-problems/ Use FSUIPC to ASSIGN the throttles to your levers but DO NOT calibrate them and DO NOT assign the throttles to any axis in FSX. That should do the trick. Haven't had the time to try it myself but will do it tonight!
  4. Yeah, I also use a few ipads in my cockpit and find them indespensable. FSKneeboard2 is the first thing I start up when I go flying and then I have the PFPX documents on another iPad (of course together with the B777 QRH). I can only think of one situation where I would find real use for a chart viewer on the EFB which would be to follow my taxi progress since I am quite prone to get lost! Then again I already have that via Flightkeeper that I have on a side monitor.
  5. Where has that been stated? I thought according to RR it's out of the question because of the costs involved, but I might have misunderstood it.
  6. Still if I'd venture out into the forest, the Nokia from 2005 would be the one I would bring with me!
  7. I am taking this out of my memory now and have only tried it once, yesterday. But on the route page you should have offset on the right 6LSK. Press for R6 for a 6 mile offset to the right of the track or L6 for correspondingly to the left. When I wanted to exit the offset, I put 0 there and the offset disappeared. I might have written something wrong here but you easily find out how it works for yourself. LOL, Wayne you beat me to it with literally 1 sec!
  8. The only flightplanner I've used before is FSBuild that I certainly liked and it could do lots of things. Well, I've also used FSCommander and FSBuild but I always considered them not to be flightplanners - rather moving maps with basic flightplanning functions. While I think FSBuild had a rather boring interface it certainly yielded excellent flightplans especially if you paired it up with Active Sky to get winds enroute. But PFPX is actually FUN to use. First I was afraid it would be euros spent on nothing but now I more feel like if the airplane I wan't to fly doesn't have a profile in PFPX (preferably also Topcat) I'll use another airplane instead! Talking about dull interfaces - I saw the Just Planes Air Canada B777 Polar where they have a pretty deep presentation of the LIDO flightplanning software they used. THAT was dull!
  9. I also had big issues with the Airbus X. Only when I saw someone suggesting using LUA-script in FSUIPC did I get the throttles to work. I am probably missing something but how are you guys that are setting up the throttles as FSX throttles and then the rest FSUIPC, going to deal with other airplanes where the throttles are controlled via FSUIPC? Won't there be a conflict unless you delete the thottle assignemnt in FSX? I have FSUIPC set up with different profiles for so many different airplanes that I couldn't imagine flying without it. I would probably ditch PMDG 777 if I can't get the rest to work. I tried deleting the FSUIPC ini-file and created a profile for the 777 but didn't help. I also tried assigning the throttles in FSUIPC but using "send to FS as normal axis" but that didn't help. Ended up with a tailstrike since the engines went into reverse just before I rotated and funny red boxes all over the engine gauges!
  10. Dave, actually this is what happened. I used Tapatalk to start the thread. I wrote the text, pressed the Post button and waited. Took a long time and then Tapatalk said the server was too busy and couldn't process my request. If it can't process my request I interpreted it as it won't create my thread. Obviously I was wrong!
  11. FS9 - FS12 on my system Controls TrackIR. Actually the cat walked over the keyboard again and I got the view back! He was somewhere around the A W Q keys som Dan may be right. Thanks for your comments!
  12. Buying a tablet adds slightly to the purchase cost but I also fully recommend it! It's a perfect fit on the iPad and hopefully the Virtual CDU for iPad and Android will support the T7! That would be a blast!
  13. Joshua, you haven't wondered why some have 10 identical threads?! I'll give you a subtle hint - server issues!
  14. Krister

    wish list.

Get a chair with a moving arm rest in your simpit instead - there you have realism! ^_^
  15. And may I say, that intro document is VERY VERY well done! I am personally trying to write (right now actually) a manual for my company's IPTV service and it frustrates the heck out of me realizing that no matter how much I point this or that out, people will still ask. "It says here I should press this button to put the power on. Should I press there to put the power on?" Aargh
  16. I think you missed that "some drinks" part
  17. As already has been said... Much money up front? Sure but it won't empty my bank account! Cost divided by hours of probable usage? Veeery tiny sum! The only problem is that all the other magnificent aircraft add-ons I have will get very expensive since the T7 will take all my flying time! Cost/usage will always be my measure stick.
  18. Or do it in the FMC where you can assign key commands. Actually it says "Z" for the "A/P L" and and "shift+ctrl+z" for "a/p disengage switch". Yesterday I could get the A/P to disengage with "Z" ( I have it assigned to a button on the yoke) but today I hear a clicking sound but nothing happens. Haven't tried checking why yet!
  19. Yeah, I was fiddling around with Everything I could find but to no avail. Things took a slighly surprising turn though since the kitten redeemed himself by running over the keyboard again and getting the view back again!!! I have no idea what he did but I have to kitten-secure my simulator room! And my apologies! Now I understand why I have seen so many double posts lately! Personally I was using Tapatalk and got the could not connect to the server so I thought nothing happened...
  20. I am flying - surprise surprise VRMM - OMDB - on VATSIM RIGHT NOW and my crazy kitten walked over the keyboard, pressing some keys and now I don't see the cockpit anymore. I can't even switch between views with the 's' key - what can I do!? Regards from lost over the indian ocean
