Yep, Trojans for sure. Microsoft wants to take over your entire life starting with your operating system. Next they are going to move into your kitchen through your refrigerator, then into your family room through your table lamp, and then into your bedroom through your pillow. Coming in Windows 11 will be total control of your bathroom through your tub. Then Windows 12 will update your brain without you even knowing it. You better just stick with Win 3.1 to be totally safe, or just surround your house with aluminum foil in order to keep all the bad stuff out! Yep, I'm so, so serious.

Na, that's just all the public stuff! What about all the really top secret things? I know I'll sleep better tonight knowing that MS doesn't have access to sensors, microphones, or cameras, none of which I have installed. And those personalized adds that I never saw anyways sure did bug the crap out of me!!

There is no need for those groups to be concerned about my Google searches. There is no need for those groups to be concerned that I went to the Weather Channel. There is no need for those groups to be worried that I text my wife about dinner plans. There is no need for those groups to be up in arms that I use Word, Excel, and Outlook. There is no need for those groups to be concerned that I used my cell phone to call the doctor once. If you believe everything you read on the internet, then you are no better than some of those animals on the Farm.

In post #6 you said that FSX installs 9.0C. So which is it?

One car lot may sell a car with white walled tires, another lot down the street may sell the very same car with black walled tires. Best Buy might sell a certain video card, Microcenter might sell the very same video card but include a bundled game or a rebate. As an educated consumer it is up to me to pay attention and comparison shop.

Keep lowering the brightness in AutoStarX until things are the way you like it.

Well, then that is how to get 9c on any system that requires it, problem solved.

You add the repaints just as you have done for 17 years now. There is just one aircraft.cfg file to edit. The process takes maybe 5 minutes. When you buy a new speaker system for that car, you just don't open the door and throw the stuff in and expect it to work. You actually need to do some work.

Did you edit the aircraft.cfg file to reflect then additional textures?

I didn't reinstall FSX, there was no need to when I upgraded my Windows. In fact I have not re-installed FSX for years now.

Correct. Not sure but FSX runs under dx 9 mode just fine. Had Win 7 before and did the upgrade install to Win 10. If 9c is not supported then my FSX would not run.

Every file in Windows is for developers. They sure aren't there for users to mess with. FYI even my Win 10 has an updated .dll so it was important enough for MS to include it on 7-31-15.

Why would anyone remove default Windows files from Windows? They are there for other purposes. And it's the .dll in your FSX that is crashing, not the default Windows .dll.

Because all the dx9 code is included in Win 10. There is no need to install dx9 to get FSX to work with Win 10. Do not believe everything you read on the internet.
