    RTO

Mine moves to the OFF position from RTO afer leaving the ground and retracting the gears. Even in the previous releases behaved like this, also the DF737 did that. I've just tested this to be sure...Jos
  2. I Agree that this might be unrealistic and anoying, I personaly haven't experienced this situation, but I see this like a trade off of some kind in order to the autoflight performance of the plane ( one of the most dificult flight caracteristics to obtain, and one of the most loved by us, seeing that perfect centerline autolanding in an hurricane ;) ), besides I belive that flying this bird by the book an numbers will provide an accurate replica of the real one certainly in most of the situations.About Someone saying that PMDG needs to consult real pilots, they don't need to since at least one (Robert) is an actual 737 pilot *:-* . And the flight model in fs, we all have to agree, is THE best one on the market... I do believe that they PMDG are aware of this situation, and if they decided to make it this way is because there is nothing to do about that, or if indeed there is, it might spoil other intems in the flight model more important to the overall good feeling of the model, so my vote is to leave it this way UNLESS there is something to do that improves and not spoils the model.Jos
  3. Another sugestion if I may....Make the MZALFOTRI keys apear only when the mouse pass over the hotspot,or better yet, hotspot only! ;), Or even better make them possible to select visible or not in the PMDG menu!.... Altough I find them extremely usefull, I think they spoil the visuals a litle bit!Jos
  4. It's actualy one of the nicest features of this 737, it's a joy to use, it's like half hand flying, I personaly, depending on conditions use handflying untill 6000 agl, and then CWS untill 15000, following the very precise informations of the F/D coupled to the Vnav/Lnav, only then I press CMD and the transition is smoth as silk!! The Irony of the situation is that this is the best "partial simulation" of the AIRBUS FBW system on the market and it's found in a .... BOEING! ;) PS: Just to add that in fact the first implementation of this feature was the PIPER MERIDIAN by DF, coupled to the triger button of the joystick, but in that beast I prefer handflying only or the use those maginificent Avionics. Jos
  5. It also doesn't compute those speeds if you set a much colder OAT other that the actual in the derate n1 selection page. You have to keep ZFW GW OAT and the runway within published values in order to the FMC fill for you. Jos
  6. It's an insignificant bug, but I've noticed that when selecting a warmer temperature in the left selector during daytime, the animation of the selector is acurate, but with the panel lights on, the selector apears in the wrong position, but if I turn off the panels light, the correct position is shown. This is only an animation bug, the function is perfect (very nice adition thank you :-badteeth ) and independent of the light condition. now that I'm in to posting a diferent kind of question: I use the triger button in the joystick as the brake, so it has not an axel assigned to it thus the braking power is allways max when pressed. I find this (in other planes) anoying afer landing, giving the sense of an emergency brake, so I used the autobrake function, even in PMDG 737 util I noticed that aplying manual brake power feels diferent (right, IMHO,) from an hard brake. So to what autobrake position (1,2,or 3) does the manual triger brake corresponds to?thank youRegardsJos
  7. Sorry about the double post my mistake....I figured that version number and liverys had nothing to do with each other! ;) but the how come that afer an uninstalation is still "remembers" my old flight numbers? ;)This is not a problem at all, just trying to know if the simultaneous existance of the 2 versions in the computer has anything to do with it. Once again sorry and thak you..Jos
  8. Prior to install 737 v1.2 I've uninstaled v1.0 with the suplyed remove utill, rebooted the computer and made a fresh install of v1.2It works flawlessly!! With the installer came only the PMDG livery pack, as expected, and wille runing them I allways get the correct V1.2 version in the plane selection menu.today I've installed the new livery packs, and to my surprise in the plane selection menu to each of the new liverys it says Version 1.0!! AND the liverys are associated to my previously assigned flight numbers and not the default flight number 737!! I've checked to config file and they state v1.0 for the new liverys BUT flight number 737, and not the currently shown in the aircraft menu.Wither way when I efectivly "run" the plane, eg southwest, it's presented the newer 1.2 version! For information purpuses I still have v1.0 instaled in fs2002.To sum it up the question is NOT about the version number, BUT how come my flight number personalizations for the v1.0 are shown after an uninstalation if they arent in the new config file?????Thank's Jos

  11. You only need to use SAFE MODE to uninstall the driver, to install or reinstall you should use the normal mode.hope this helps.BTW ther is a small reg file named coolbits that enables some more hiden menus/options in the advanced display properties. give it a try just google it and you will find it..Jos
  12. Ok thank you,and another thank you for the now extremely enjoyable 737.One more question, In the previous version I am sure that there were all the runways in the database, is there a way to use the older database or it's incompatible? Either way I might get into making SID/STARsJos
  13. I have instaled the new version of the 737 and tryed to make a test flight LEMD(madrid barajas) to LPPT (lisbon), but in the FMC dep/arr it only exists rwy18r!! So I've downloaded and extrated the NAVDATA cycle to the root FS9 creating the FMCWP folder. Tryed again and still the only rwy available is 18r, what i'm I doing wrong?Thank'sJos
  14. I know! ;) but I was talking about the new SU2 version... or was this the Same you are refering to?
  15. Sorry for not refering the card type I Have earlyer, my mistake.:+ It's a Geforce4 ti4200 128Mb DDR @(275/500 Mhz) runing on windows XP( all SP's) in a AthlonXP 1700+@(1667Mhz) 1Gb DDR 333 ASUS A7V266-E (Raid0)I've tested these drivers in various situations and worked flawlessly, improvements mostly in Image quality but in some other games (ureal Tournament2003) a SLIGHT increase in performance.Whatever you decide to do ALLWAYS remove previous versions of the drivers before installing new ones...RegardsJos
  16. They Have a noticeable increase in Image Quality and the same performance as the previous release. Well done NVIDIAJos
  17. I've only tryed Carlos Lorenz Benlloch's ones, but I can tell you that are absolutly AMAZING, in looks like an ENTIRELY different sim, VERY realistic, look's that were given another mesh, those textures give the sense of "roughness"( sorry could not find the equivalent in english for the portuguses word "relevo") on the terrain, but nothing like trying by yourself in a low level VFR flight to notice the difference. Absolutly recomended....jos
  18. Can anyone tell me now that the patch is out how good/better/same/worst/awfull the pic320 got? and what about those dreadfull fps?
  19. pay attention to one slight incovinient of the LCD's: NATIVE RESOLUTION, i.e if you dont' have an allaround good computer you may not play games well: Imagine that you currently play FS in 1280*960 32bits @80 mhz but you can't run a recent game well enough so you downgrade your resolution in your CRT to 800*600! well this does the trick in CRT but not in LCD......
  20. Yes! This is in all the 320 family, and once the engines are running, preparing for takeoff I can
