  1. please....anyone could at least tell me why?I know this has been discussed, I just don't know how to find it in the search function ( must had a non elusive topic name...)once again thank you
  2. I've tried to search for this ocorrence since I remember this exact same issue being discussed here not very long ago but found nothing.I never had this problem before, until today afer instaling the latest PAI china package....I know this message is normal to apear in the first time FS is run after the package instalation, but it's apearing to me everytime I start FS9 without ANY change made to FS...Does anyone has a clue about this issue? What can I do to remedy this situation?P.s: The message is "only" anoying since it apears that no harm has or is being made to FS, once again aparently....Thank you in advance for any information about this problem...
  3. Thanks for the great link!!!Certainly brings a lot of memories from my still functioning C64... :)But what I would realy love is the preview of Fs2095. Does anyone has a time machine i can borrow? ;)
  4. Thank you for your helpI did so and I noticed that it was already in 20, and my original back up fs9.cfg was also set to 20...I must say that its the only scenery afected, all the other ones are unharmed..just to be certain, what was the default value of the original 9.0 FS?
  5. Since I've upgraded to FS 9.1 (with its ability to increase terrain resolution? ) that my Spain VFR-Mesh Canary Islands by FsPlanet shows strange graphic artifacts ( like terrain waves across the hole scenery ).Prior to the 9.1 upgrade all was fine, so not an FsPlanet problem, and everything its also fine with the fs 9.1, so not a Microsoft problem either. It turned out to be a problem I have to solve, so I'm asking to whom can help me about this problem. Is it possible to make a change in the scenery config in order to mantain it's previous resolution? or there is no such possibility? Is there any other way ( besides uninstalling the 9.1 path ) to solve the situation? thank you.
  6. Let's put it this way:Imagine that the new technology in the block is the CRT and not LCD:Not counting on price the comentarys one would listen would be:" MY GOD those new CRT are a blast, what Image Quality, suberb!!! And one can actualy change thee resolution , and the refresh rate, ohh and say godbye to dead pixels.... on the down side, there is the HUGE size, and massive power consuption, but IQ makes up 100X more that that..."so, personaly, unless you have absolutly no space to spare, or can
  7. Besides all that was said, you took off from DENVER (KDEN?) If so, its a hight altitude airport, that by itself degrades any AC performance, so a full loaded jumbo will have a run at its engines...
  8. well, this mesure was put in practice by a government democraticaly elected, so its the will of the majority..... Don't like them ( as I don't) then don't vote for them.Politics aside (it's not even my contry), the question is where will MS get the new NAVDATA for new versions of FS. Keeping the actual one is "fine" for a couple more years, but its getting more and more outdated... unless we fly FS 200X with 90's navdata allround (FMC's, procedures...)
  9. Given good add-ons,it can be astounishing (sp?) close to reality....I was in Barcelona (LEBL), madrid (LEMD), palma de mallorca (LEPA), tenerife norte (GCXO), Madeira (LPMA), Porto Santo (LPPS), And lisbon (LPPT), airports that I also have add-ons for, and the feeling of being there was enormous, I could name the terminal, gates, RNW, and even the aproach to airport... that good.....
  10. I don't know about the balearic, but the canary scenery is great!! Love it. as you probably know, the airports are the default ones, the package it's just about mesh and photoscenery, of an exelent quality. I couldn't be happyer about so I expect that the balearic would be atleast of the same quality. Now that you mention it, I may aswell take a look at this new release.
  11. Yes you can and you should! :)When creating the flight plan in FS click in the map view the destination airport and it will display all the frequencies (tower aproach, ATIS, and ILS runways) just take the note of the ATIIS freq and about 50nm prior to the airport tuni in in the com radio. This should give you enough time to prepare the landing. Also you can guess the general direction of the landing thru the wind direction arrow in the ND.
  12. Yeap. Same here. Can I just copy the -900 tecture over to the -800 one or it has to be done in a diferent way?Ohh and btw. THANK YOU pmdg.
  13. To me the patch went as smooth as it can get , in less than 2 min I was ready to test it, and I noticed an efective increase in FPS, and fuid as it was before. Is the efect of disablig the xml at the same level of performance as the previous one? I can't tell a diference but to anyone who tryed, what where the results?
  14. Does de patch alters ANY texture of fs9 including replacement ones( clowds, Auto gen, trees, runways, etc...) or just optimizes the core program???
  15. "If you fly with the -800 version you have to put all the cargo in the aft cargo compartment."Is this statement correct? I fly the PMDG 600/700 only but I would imagine that The cargo must be balanced around the cg, (that is the cargo must be in such position to alow a correct C.G)
  16. Those are not water efects.try setting in the display tab, the slider named "special efects detail" to low.hope this helps.
  17. Yes it does happen to me too, if I let it. ONE problems bugs me in the fmc though: whenever VNAV is disconected,at X nm from a waypoint or an airport, an I fly the rest of the flight in basic autopilot ( hdg, vs, spd..) the distance to airport or whatever in the progess page of the FMC increases as the flight progesses in the right direction. So it's useless to aid calculating the 3:1 rule of the descent, since it doesn't provide acurate distance to waypoints/airport.
  18. Neat feature that's for sure, but it's not meant to replace/switch the engine in a short notice as of an engine being out of order and replace in in loco by another one. Changin an engine takes a lot of time (hours), so not so pratical to do, instead thsi feature is intended for a switch of owner regardless of the engine type, you could buy whatever airframe you'ld like an then change the engine type, regardless of the engine assembled in the production line...
  19. Me too. Home made, with good material, no problems!
  20. with today's dirt cheap PC's, why not just buy one? If you can aford a MAC you certainly can buy a PC.:-wave
  21. HI!:Well basicaly you can keep your sofware, the worst it would happen is a need for reactivation of windows XP (in the case you are using it) as well as some other sofware you have that's machine specific and/or requires activation. the best tough is still to format the system and start fresh, since there are some major changes is hardware.regarding the PMDG registration, now you can install/reinstall whenever you want without registration altough it still uses SOMEKIND of copy protection.
  22. I had NO problems filling up the survey.... all went finePortugal
  23. That airbus pilot flyes an old model of airbus. It doesn't have FBW or glass cockpit (the a300-600 does have glass tough, an I guess it's what he flyes), it's alot like a regular boeing. So unless he has another type rate in an modern FBW airbus he does not qualify for an 1st person opinion. I'm not defending AIRBUS, in fact I'm not even a ppl, I only fly as a pax, and I'm not related in any way with the manufacturers, I don't even have a preference between BOEING and AIRBUS, but we for clarity sake have to compare aples to aples.... :-wave
  24. The meridian is a dream to fly and to navigate. Pure fun. It's a GA plane but it can fly up to 30000ft, and land in small strips. That Garmin unit is awessome!! I find myself sometimes standing on the (Virtual)ramp just playing with the buttons!! It's a very smooth plane and extremely optimized!! IMHO go for it!
