    Fuel

Luke,Did you make sure that the center fuel pump switches were ON? If they were, and there was fuel in the center tank, there is no reason why your engines shut down. Also, I have been informed by different sources that it is unsafy to let any of the tanks run dry. So, if there is less than about 800Kg of fuel in the wing tanks, turn those switches to OFF position to keep the pumps submerged in fuel.Cheers,
  3. Hi there,As much as I am waiting for this product to land on my HDD I can not wait for all of your replies when you will first try it in FS...Just a friendly advice: Save your best expressions for that time. Until then, I remain your honest admirer, team PMDG.
  4. Hi there,I have tried this once. Never tried it again. I assume though, that if you have enough memory, it will be more likely to actually succeed. My PC had 1 GB of RAM that time...Cheers,
  5. Hello all,Yes, there are usually two issues that execute this warning, one is flaps setting and the other is speed brakes setting. If you have it armed, the warning is heard. You can, however un-arm the spoilers by opening the pedestal panel and putting the lever into the down position using your mouse.Hope it helps,Cheers,
  6. An update for those thousands who are sleeplessly wait my response on this... ;)I have managed to come across this problem by lowering the Graphic Aperture Size in the BIOS to something really low. I found out that the higher I set this value the more possible my textures vanish. Don't know why, don't know what this Graphic Aperture Size is, but it helped.Cheers,
  7. Thanks, I will try to see if those work.Cheers,
  8. Hi all,I have searched through the forums but could not find anything reasonable to solve this...The aircraft textures tend to disappear after a very short time, sometimes they do not appear anyhow. A good 2 months before it was all OK, no texture problems. This ONLY happens to aircraft textures and ONLY happens in FS9, I can not reproduce it in any other game. Now I have a Sapphire Radeon 9700Pro, and it has caused several other problems already.Has anyone else faced this problem? Does anyone have a clue/solution? Or do I have to live with it?Thanks in advance,
  9. Robert,Thanks a lot for your post, such a reply was really badly demanded for a long time now. Good to hear these news!About your in-built secret freetime generator: This, I think is not really a new product, in fact it has been implemented in the NG v1.0 as well... ;)Cheers,
  10. A top secret freetime generator tool is what I exactly need for/from this product! ;)Cheers,
  11. I wonder why? Is it a strict company policy, or is it up to the pilots? I mean things on the NG are developed to ease the workload on pilots. Why in the world would you not use such things? It is probably my weakness though that I don't get it. Can someone enlighten me?Cheers,
  12. Teeloo,Certainly a very fine idea, a very fine thought on Desktop Flying. Also, people please take a look on Teeloo's attitude and approach to the community... A very welcome way.I hope your time comes soon, Teeloo!Cheers,
  13. Burak,Can you please go to the BMW forum as well and ask them to do a CLK series, please? Do not get upset if the answer will be something like "sorry, my friend, the guys over at Mercedes are already doing one, we are focusing on the 3-er series right now."Do not take this as an offense, as it was not born on it.Cheers,
  14. Randy,I guess I have the same problem sometimes, so I just go ahead and answer to your questions based on my experience.I always keep a hand on the controls, not that the A/P can not do the autoland function brightly, but it is wise to do so. No input whatsoever, so point one is out.Software is AS2004.5, and it is configured as by default. But I have noticed, that when exiting FS and AS after a flight that had this issue at landing, AS always shows this last system message at the bottom of it's window: wake turbulence effect completed. Can this be the cause?Ps. APP light out is not recognized as A/P disconnect; there is however an aural warning and A/P 1&2 lights go out.Cheers,
  15. Bernie,On the other hand please keep in mind, that the REASON this message keeps popping up is that your altimeter setting is indeed incorrect, this can cause some serious pain in the @ss on the long run.. ;)So, besides turning the feature off keep an eye on your altimeter setting and the ATIS..Cheers,
  16. Max,I am deeply sorry that I am posting but not giving you info on this. However, I truly agree with you on this. Although I have never run into this problem, it still gives me a hard time to logically accept the fact that a CRZ ALT that is optimal is higher than what the maximum the aircraft can handle...I am awaiting answers as well...Cheers,
  17. Hi there,Just a short one. I once knew a guy that used to like to fly like this.. Sit in, fire it up, put something in the gps or whatever and off he goes with a mighty 747... Gee.... Then he came across to this PMDG NG and started to realize how beautiful its complexity is after all. By using this product he was more and more interested in setting the flight up correctly. The complexity and reality of this product was that drove his attention. Wonderful achievement.Cheers,
  18. Iain,As far as I am concerned (knowledge from manuals, virtual and real pilots) the correct procedure is to establish on the ILS, extend L/G and slow down to VRef+5 KTs while extending flaps on schedule. If you do a manual approach then yes, you will have to play with throttle in order to keep her on the G/S.Cheers,
  19. Luke,You have to expect this page in a separate, sort of a pop-up window, which you have to bring up first by right-clicking the EICAS display. Do you do this before clicking on engine or system buttons?Cheers,
  20. Luke,First you have to go to the PMDG menu and set the displays to over/under. If it is set to side-by-side, the lower EICAS page will not function.Cheers,
  21. Just to eat up time until She rolls out from the PMDG Factory...Where will you take her on your very first, maiden flight together? In which livery do you plan to fly her for the first time?I will sure get familiar with the systems first on the ground, then I will make a couple of short circles around a well known airport just to get familiar with her characteristics, all the inflight features. Then I will take her home from Boeing Field. And you?Cheers,
  22. Jim,I have also noticed some time ago that if you have Sygate Personal Firewall up and running, it creates a framerate-drop (stutter) in every second. Now this is a very predictable thing, it ONLY occurs if the firewall is up, and it does this EVERY second. Now if you rather have unpredictable stutters, way different than mine, than you should not bother at all with my reply.BTW I changed to ZoneAlarm, and stutters are now gone.Cheers,
  23. Guys,Let's look at the bright side: This product seems to be so professional that the only issue there is to argue about in the forums is how the colors are matching with the real one.Not bad... Not bad at all... :)Cheers,
  24. Benjamin,Can you enter the corresponding values manually? I know there is a feature of PMDG that you can press LSK "whatever" to let the software automatically populate these values by doing simple math, but as far as I know there is no such feature on the real Lady. (someone please correct me if I am wrong, I am a learning individual as well ;))So can you do it manually? If yes, then it should not keep you on the ground. While I admit that it's rather annoying if a feature stops working after a time..Cheers,
  25. Mats,"Nice and round figure?"I guess other than that it is also a value that you will either way have to set to a different one, making sure you will never forget to deal with this. Backup's backup. Makes sense to me after all the precaution-wise compiled systems we have on the NG..Cheers,
