  1. Or you could, for example, go here: http://www.va-list.com/ and browse through to find exactly what you're looking for
  2. Try going here too: http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/pfe_details1.htm and listen to some of the Expansion & Enhancement pack voice examples. Not robotic at all (and my voice has never been called robotic - perhaps you may have heard a voice example of the original ProFlight Emulator ?). Another cool feature that you hear sometimes is static interference during voice transmission - nice touch
  3. Lots of info available here Sportsfan: http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/index.htm Have a wander around the site and you'll find pretty much everything you need to know
  4. I know it's still early days but is anyone aware of a British registered texture set being available at all ? Thank-you in advance
  5. Does anyone know of a clear cockpit glass texture set being available in FSX for the C185F ? I've had no luck finding anything so far but maybe I'm looking too hard...... Thanks in advance
  6. No PMDG FSX version available but here's how they recommend porting over: http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a82/how-do-i-import-the-1900c-and-1900d-into-flight-simulator-x.aspx And don't forget this is on the horizon: http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/index.php?accion=incomview&correl=26 :good:
  7. Know where you're coming from James. I only picked up FSX Gold about six weeks ago for £12 and after installing it, FS9 came off within a week. Should've made the change before but there you go..... Using ASE (as mentioned above) seemlessly and quite a few Orbx add-ons. Never thought I'd change but so glad I did..... :wink2:
  8. Plusair 2013 'Take Me Home' Tour Probably the longest and most ambitious tour is set to begin…… Plusair Virtual Airline is delighted to announce the commencement of their 2013 ‘Take Me Home’ Tour for it’s registered pilots. Starting on November 27th, 2013 members of the Plusair Flying Club (part of Plusair Virtual Airline) will be departing from the Cessna factory at Independence Municipal, Kansas (KIDP) in their newly collected Cessna 172’s and flying them back to the U.K. to our general aviation home at Sherburn-In-Elmet (EGCJ). The journey will be split into three sectors - the first involving crossing North America two and a half times over a staggering 127 legs. The second and third sectors will be covering Russia and Mainland Europe/UK. At various points whilst on the tour, a number of optional challenges will also be available to participate in. So as not to interfere with the day to day running of the airline with it’s extensive schedules and charter flights, these Club flights will be taking place on a dedicated multiplayer server each Wednesday evening with one leg being flown per week (although arrangements are in place for anyone unable to join in on these days). All flight rules - and there aren’t many - can be viewed by registered pilots within the Pilot Centre. This is a huge undertaking to which everyone is invited to join in with by registering as a Plusair member and you are warmly invited to do so. Low, slow, friendly atmosphere and banter – what a great way to unwind…… The Plusair Team http://www.plusair.co.uk
  9. Tried it, removed it. I'm sure it works ok for some but not for me - even after tweaking to the n'th degree had to keep moving my head to extreme angles to settle things down only for the screen to slew off at crazy angles. It was when the motion sickness set in I thought "that's enough of that ! :( However, I've watched the promo vids and it does appear to look good - if/when you can set it up correctly.
  10. ProFlight Emulator. Check out the site info here: http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/pfe_details1.htm You wouldn't be disappointed if you purchased this programme.
  11. Welcome to the Plusair Six Nations Tour Following on from the success of the ‘2012 Olympic Tour’, Plusair Virtual Airline is proud to announce the commencement of the ‘Six Nations Tour’ for it’s registered pilots. Inspired by the Six Nations rugby tournament, this tour covers approx 4,700 nm, with 45 separate flight legs across England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, France and Italy. There is, however, a twist........ the tour is to be completed in a single-engined, non-turbo, prop aircraft following visual flight rules. Period of availability: this is an open-ended tour, so will always be available. You are warmly invited to come along for the ride and share the experience; we would be pleased for you to come and join us - we are always open for accepting applications to become part of a relaxed and informal virtual airline. The Plusair Team http://www.plusair.co.uk/index.php/
  12. Well, if you go with the XPack voices only, it'll give you 7 generic U.S. voices plus 2 mid-western, 7 northern & 2 southern. Along with this you'll have 2 x African, 2 x Arabian, an Asian, an Australian, 9 x U.K., 3 x Canadian, 4 x Dutch, 2 x French, 5 x German, 1 x Greek, 1 x Hungarian, 1 x Irish, 3 x Italian, 2 x Latin American, 1 x Spanish. No shortage of accents there then...... And no, you don't have to manually change the controller voices - they'll change automatically when you cross different regions. And if you don't like any of the voices you have the option to block them in the Options. The voices are all 'real' - not a 'bot in sight, or rather, sound ! I used RC4 for a couple of years and found it a very good product - it still is. PFE however, imho, did the job better. A lot better. Once set up there's no reason to touch it - it does exactly what it says on the tin superbly

  22. Maybe try visiting va-list.com - it has an extensive selection to choose from
  23. Has anyone been able to add the new 'reverser effect' published by the Posky team to the PMDG B1900C ? It's reckoned that it can be added to any aircraft with reverse thrusters so thought it may just work on the 1900. Well, I don't have an awful lot of hair left (not that I had much to start with.....) after trying every which way but loose to add into the relevant areas, so if anyone can have sympathy with my scalp and assist in any way, I would really appreciate it.My thanks in advanceKevin
  24. To open another thread concerning this superb add-on effect from the great Posky team - and with the greatest respect to you jet jockeys ;-) - has anyone successfully been able to add this to the PMDG B1900C ? I don't have an awful lot of hair left (not that I had much to start with.....) after trying every which way but loose to add into the relevant areas, so if anyone can have sympathy with my scalp and assist in any way, I would really appreciate it.My thanks in advanceKevin
