  1. I don't have GEX installed. I'll try adjusting the sliders and see if that helps. I have a fairly quick computer though and the sim runs great with sliders all the way to the right up until I descend.Mickey
  2. Did you get any help on this? I have the same problem. Whenever I'm at cruise altitude and start to descend, I get a crash to desktop. Really annoying. Doesn't do it if I'm just flying a pattern at low altitude.Mickey
  3. 787 for sure!Or a King Air 200!Mickey
  4. Now that the 767-300's are starting to fly with winglets does anyone know if we're going to see that addition for the Level-D models?MickeyKLAS
  5. That would be awesome Maxam66! Thank you very much! Either one is fine. I've taken the FS9 version and adapted it to FSX so doesn't really matter to me. Either one will work. You need anything from me? I'm sure its pretty straight forward but if you need anything here's my email: [email protected] again!Mickey>Hi Mickey,>>Is it for FS9 or FSX? I think I have the L-1011 for FSX and I>am willing to try and pait it for you.... no $$$ needed,>anyone who charges you for this isn't a true flightsim>hobbyist.>>Let me know,>
  6. I'm looking for a painter that can help...I've been trying to get someone to paint the Aerosim L-1011 in the colors of Hawaiian Air when they operated the aircraft. I have all the paint kits needed and am even willing to pay for the scheme I just need the painter. Is there anyone out there that can help or someone that might be able to point me in a direction of someone who can help me? I haven't even had much luck finding commercial repainting sites. I'll pay what I paid for the actual aircraft. Just need this scheme... MickeyKLAS
  7. Ok... Disregard this post. I figured it out. Didn't have my Global Texture settings high enough. Blurry is gone... And I've been flying MSFS since 5.1.... huh
  8. I'll have to get a picture. It's outside views...
  9. I've been searching the threads on this forum for some help but I can't seem to find anything to help with this.I installed FSX over a year ago and had no problems whatsoever. I installed SP1 when it came out and no problems there either. I have a fairly decent system but when I rushed out to install Accelerator it went down hill FAST... Now the main issue I had was the CTD after trying to switch menus (as most people that have Nvidia 7xxx & 8xxx series already know about) but with the latest Nvidia driver I was able to get through the CTD's. But when I installed Accelerator the DEFAULT aircraft all became BLURRY. Not the ground textures and NOT add-on aircraft. Its amazing. Every other aircraft in my fleet is looking great except the default ones. I finally decided to completely uninstall Accelerator AND FSX. I followed the instructions of another thread and deleted all the files I could find related to FSX. I defrag'd the HD until my whole set-up was running like new. I installed FSX, then SP1, then SP2 (no Accel) and did another defrag. Started up FSX and the blurry aircraft are still here. I haven't even added ANY add-ons. It's a clean install.Does anyone have any suggestions?System:AMD 64 Dual Core ProcWindows XP2GB RAMNvidia 7960 GT w/ 512MBMickeyKLAS
  10. I also have a feeling that its the new DirectX. I reinstalled the original DirectX after unistalling Accel and its working fine again. I haven't decided if I'll reinstall Accel or not yet...MickeyKLAS
  11. There is another thread going here on Avsim about this and someone managed to get someone over at Nvidia to look into it. The only common denominator is that it's Nvidia cards. They were able to recreate the problem and have put some kind of priority on it.MickeyKLAS
  12. EXACTLY!!! That's me too. I tried after Nvidia took away the last updated driver and reinstalled it only to have CTD's again. On a side note I managed to clear up the blurred default plane schemes by reinstalling Direct X9 from the FSX CD. (Canceled the auto-run install and opened the drive to find the install on DVD-2.) MickeyKLAS
  13. Yeah... New driver didn't help. Still issues... Did Accelerator install DX10 on XP machines? I thought it was a Vista only product. I went to install the latest DX9 drivers (hoping that would help) and when it went to install it said I had a NEWER version on my system. Could it be DX10?MickeyKLASXP SP12GB RAMNvidia 7950GT 512MB
  14. LOTS & LOTS of people experiencing problems after the Accel install Including me). Most seem related to Nvidia cards and attempting to use the menus in Full-screen mode. Have heard that using Windowed mode will stop the problem but a permanent fix is more what we need. Alot of threads working on this in the FSX CTD forum...I've unistalled Accel until a fix can be had by either Nvidia or MS.MickeyWindows XP SP2, Nvidia 7950GT 512MB, 2GB RAM
  15. I just got the Saitek X52 Pro Joystick and throttle system and the EH101 flew better than any other helicopter I've flown. It was great. Hovered on a dime!
  16. I'm also experiencing what all these others have. Running XP SP2 with the Nvidia 7950GT with 512MB, 2GB RAM. FSX was running perfectly until the install of Accel. But here's a problem I encountered since then:Got sick of the CTD's so unistalled Accel. did a complete defrag of the system and started up FSX. Now getting blurry textures on some aircraft, INCLUDING the default ones! I had read in another forum that it was more of a 3rd party problem but since my FSX still loads with the default Ultralight, the skin on top is totally blurry. Figured it had something to do with the latest Nvidia drivers I installed trying to fix the original Accel problem, but now that Accel is out why am I getting blurry textures that I didn't have before?I'm not a computer guru so I don't know what else to try beyond that. I sure hope Nvidia or MS finds a cure for these CTD's. When I was able to fly it (without accessing the menu's) I tried flying the EH101 and it flew better than any other helicopter I've flown in FS. Would love to reinstall it, but with the CTD's I'm not about to just for 3 new planes.MickeyKLAS
  17. I noticed Nvidia issued a new driver yesterday. I installed it and was in the middle of a full defrag but ran out of time and had to leave it. Will give it another shot on Friday when I have my next opportunity.MickeyKLAS
  18. I may have fixed mine. I am running the NVIDIA 7950 GT. Hear a rumor about the NVIDIA being the issue so I wnet to the NVIDIA site and downloading a new driver. I went into the Performance & Quality settings and changed the Anisotropic Filtering settings to Application Controlled. (Which I swore I already set that way but maybe something happened during the install of Accel to change it back to default) I started up FSX w/ Accel installed and it flew fine, I hit Alt and opened the windows and was able to change aircraft and continue flying. That was as far as the testing I've gotten, but it was the farthest I've gotten after the Accel install.Mickey
  19. I get the same thing. After installing Accel, my screen is already in full-screen mode and as soon as I try to open the menus it locks up and I get the CTD.Any other fixes, ideas?MickeyKLAS
  20. Still would love to see this plane in Hawaiian colors. I've managed to get it imported into FSX and have been flying the ATA old colors version for quite a while now. Mickey
  21. Does anyone know if there is a Hawaiian L-1011 paint available? I'm thinking of purchasing this, but wasn't sure if the Hawaiian scheme was available...Mickey
  22. That scenery is sweet! But I too 'am ready for the -400. After flying that full motion sim at United during the convention, I need to fly the Queen. But I also agree with the longer we wait, the better it'll be! Keep up the good work PMDG!MickeyKLAS

Wow! Those new Beoing colors look great. Can't wait for the line to come out. That'll be my new BBJ :)Mickey KopanskiKLAS
  24. Thanks. I'll give both of those a try. It appears to be only with add-on aircraft where this happens. Must be the intense textures with some of these aircraft now-a-days.Mickey
  25. I'm one of those people that was plagued with CTD's ever since I installed FS9. Sometimes I'm able to get through a whole flight without any problems. Just a couple days ago though after my last CTD, Windows directed me to update my driver for my chipset. So I went to the Intel site and updated the driver. I haven't had a CTD since updating the driver, but now when I fly in FS9, the scenery textures smooth out and become blurry almost instantly. The aircraft textures also are very slow to load and sometimes go blurry. I maxed out all the bars and still the scenery goes blurry. It's almost as if this new driver stops the CTD's by dumping the heavy load textures right away, allowing the program to run (just a guess). Now to my question: In previous threads about the CTD's there was one that talked about going to the start menu and running a program that could adjust the video/sound card. Can someone direct me to the name of that program again? I did a search through the posts and couldn't seem to find it. I'd like to try and amke some adjustments and see if it doesn't help with the blurriness. Thanks,Mickey Kopanski
