  1. I agree 110%, there are many posts on the Avsim forum complaining about the lack of Developer support, this has never been the case with FS2Crew. If you need help or advice Bryan is always happy to support his fantastic product - another thank you from me Glen
  2. Have tried adding the Flight1 plugin to P3DV4.1, now the sim crashes on every startup, wont go beyond the initial Splash screen. I've tried removing the plugin but P3D still wont start - why can't I just leave things alone
  3. Michael, thanks for pointing out OpusFSI, its an option. Vincent, thanks for your comments, this option sounds good to me, I'll try the free Flight1 plugin first and see how it goes.
  4. I have P3Dv4.1 on my computer with two monitors. I would like if possible to have Skydemon on the second monitor and have it show the position of my P3D aircraft on the Skydemon PC display. Has anyone managed to do this and can give me an simple guide how to set it up, I do have the paid version of FSUIPC with GPSout if that helps. I have read older posts on Google on this subject but most seem to want to connect a Tablet version of Skydemon to FSX or X Plane, is there a simple way to connect P3Dv4 to Skydemon on the same computer.   5. I'm using the latest release version of Ultimate Traffic Live that came out a few days ago. I didn't notice if the AI was visible on the P2A map, I'll check and report back. As said in my initial post I'm using P3Dv4.1 not X-Plane. Its been stated many times on the UTL forum, UTL only supplies the AI model but P3D controls the AI. Glen
  6. Hi Dave I'm using P2A version 2.4.0.1 x64 and P3D v4.1 Inspired by your latest VFR Pattern video I thought I would try touch and go's at Bristol EGGD as it has a Tower Freq. All communications works very well with no problems and P2A recognised every thing I said. During taxi to Rwy 09 I asked to cross 09 from the GA parking via 'D' to Z then G. I got clearance to cross Rwy 09 but with a 737 just feet away to my left on the runway. Later during the touch and go on Rwy 09 I was given clearance to T&G with a AI aircraft on 5 miles final and a AI aircraft just landing, so on the runway. I appreciate P2A has limited AI awareness but I was disappointed to be given runway crossing clearance with a AI feet away on the runway and the clearance for T&G with an aircraft just landing and another on 5 mile finals. Better would have been to extend the downwind leg until both aircraft had enough lateral space to clear the runway. What is the current state of P2A AI awareness, as its a bit of a dampener on an otherwise brilliant program. Glen
  7. Parking Checklist - Below the line - EMERG LIGHTS switch I should reply OFF, but a couple of times I forgot to turn the Emerg Lts Off and left them in ARM position but he didn't query this mistake and moved on to the next item. Only a very minor point but I thought I would mention it. Glen

While hand flying the Q400 during the climb, as I'm right handed I find it quite difficult to zoom the view to the Altimeter and select Standard pressure of 1013mb (29.92), this involved taking my hand off my X52 Pro stick to use the mouse. Would it be possible to add a voice command like 'Set Pressure XXXX' or 'Set Altimeter XXXX' or during the climb just say 'Set Altimeter Standard' when passing the Transition Altitude. When flying using the A/P its not a problem doing it myself just very awkward when hand flying. Glen

  10. I agree with No 1, while taxying to the stand after landing my side windows often suddenly mist up even with the side vents open, so have to turn the Window Heat back on.
  11. Sim : P3dV4.1 FS2Crew : 3.2 I'm currently loading the Q400 with the 'Boarding' cockpit state. To save time I'm skipping the PF Events option within FS2Crew and going straight to 'Before Start', although I have FS2Crew controlling the doors in the Config settings the doors are not being closed before departure. What is the trigger for FS2Crew to close the doors ? Glen

I'm very new to the Q400 so may have missed something, but going through the Q400 tutorial there doesn't seem to be a request from the FO to ask the Captain to turn the Seat Belt signs off at 10,000 FT. The only thing I could find is the FO turns them on again during the 'Descent Checklist to the Line' Just seems unusual compared to other FS2Crew aircraft I have flown, this point is always covered.   14. Ok I've just bought VoxATC 7.41, thought I might as well add it to my other ATC software collection. As a registered user of version 6 (although haven't used it for a couple of years) it only cost me 30 quid to upgrade. Many thanks guys for all your recommendations

Are you now using version 6 or 7, as you mention MATZ penetration is this included in version 7.4, I know version 6 had the UK/Europe extension but didn't think that was included in 7.4 ? John, thanks for your comments. I agree with your view on Pilot2ATC only thing I don't like is it doesn't control Ai so its just you and ATC which you have already set up before flying so know what to expect. I just wish a 3rd party developer like PMDG would take up the ATC challenge instead of these one man band developers that enviably get bored or have to give up for personal reasons and leave the product unfinished. After buying Pro-ATC nobody heard from the developer for over a year and every time a customer complained on their forum, over protective Moderators would get verbally aggressive with anyone daring to complain, which is one reason I wouldn't touch Pro-ATC if it ever became the 'perfect' ATC add-on.

  18. I fly both Airline IFR and GA VFR - Is VoxATC 7.41 worth the money. I have bought Pilot2ATC, PF3 and Pro-ATC all of which have their limitations, so far I prefer Pilot2ATC of the three. I have also tried Vatsim but coverage is very limited and you are at the mercy of the Controller, very often on final Approach he or she will just clock off, its happened several times going into Gatwick and if you complain on the forum you are told 'they are volunteers' the fact they have just ruined an otherwise good flight doesn't matter, so I've given up with Vatsim. Going back to VoxATC I have tried the trial version but have noticed some very odd Ai behaviour especially on the ground (taxying round in circles) and being told to change frequency VFR but not given a frequency to change too. I'm also concerned about the apparent lack of developer support, I emailed him a question three weeks ago and have not had a reply. I am now very happy with P3Dv4.1 and most of the Scenery and Aircraft 3rd party addons I have bought, only thing lacking is decent ATC, so do I waste more cash trying to get the perfect Flight Simulation experience ?

  20. My question was simply is there a text file with all the commands that P2A recognises or do I get them from Grammar Helper as I'm trying to put together a personalised quick reference guide when using P2A without using the Sayit guide.
