  1. The comments of Ben Russell on several forums also made me stop buying from X-Aviation. It's a highly rude and unprofessional attitude. Some guys at X-Aviation seem to be really pi##ed by the release of XEnviro and act like grumpy kids who get send to bed early (see the above link to the discussion on facebook). I still don't get the reason for it, as both products have their pros and cons. Just let the customer choose. It's a real pitty because I would love to have the Saab in my hangar (as well as the upcomming Citation) but with this attitude to customers support requests it's a NO GO for me. A release of the software on other shops like Simmarket would be highly appreciated but I fear GIZMO would still be involved... Kind regards Martin
  2. Ok, thanks. I will give it a try :-) Gesendet von meinem Nexus 10 mit Tapatalk
  3. Hi, Do you mean in the aircraft.cfg file? I only have a "autopilot available=1" in the [autopilot] section of the aircraft.cfg, but no useautopilot=1. Kind regards Martin
  4. Hi, Had the same problem a couple of days ago on the approach to EDDF. No chance to recover :-( Kind regards Martin
  5. Hi, @Pict: Is it common on the Q400 to rim the aircraft before you start your takeoff run? Kind regards Martin
  6. Hi, -Seasonal Textures -AI traffic like Ultimate Traffic for FSX (not limited to 20 aircraft) -More variation in Autogen (it would be cool if Europe would look different then the US for example) -Make big cities look more "plausible" -Mouswheel should be usable to rotate knobs (i just can't get used to the "pull function" to set up a VOR frequency for example) -Weather Addon like ActiveSky. But that's not X-Planes fault (let's go HIFI  ) Kind regards Martin
  7. Hi,Hopefully, they will lift the limit of 20 AI aircraft very soon.Big airports with just 20 AI aircraft will feel almost as empty, as without any Al aircraft.Missing AI aircraft in my opinion is one of the main reasons why X Plane 9 never got that much attention from the community. AI traffic really helps to generate a "I'm really at an airport feeling".Kind regardsMartin
  8. Hi,I don't want to put any oil in the fire of any MS Flightsim vs. X-plane battle, but I really have to say that all these FLIGHT screenshots also look quite dated in my opinion and are far away from what a modern game designed in the year 2011 should look. From some views it's really hard to tell a difference between FSX, or even FS9 and this FLIGHT screenshots, especially when it comes to clouds. The clouds really look like FS9.Another thing that worries me, is how Flight seems to display the ground textures in the distance. On some screenshots it seems like we can expect the same LOD/blurry fiasco that we have to face for almost a decade now (since the introduction of FS2002). I'm really afraid they are using the same oooold graphics engine again. When you compare the FLIGHT screenshots to the screenshots from, for example, Wings of Prey, Flight in my opinion looks extremely outdated. However, Ithat doesn't mean that I won't buy it(as well as I will buy X-Plane) .Kind regardsMartin
  9. Hi Bryan! I get the sound from FS over the headset when I set it as default audio device. As soon as I set my speakers back as default device, all the sounds go back to the speakers, including the FS2Crew voices. When I click on the speaker symbol in the Windows task bar to fiddle around with the audio volume, I have two differnt bars to set the volume. One of them is the USB headset volume. Everytime I increase or decrease the volume I can hear a ding in the headsets speakers. So it seems as windows is able to send sound threw the headset. Kind regardsMartin
  10. Hi, I bought the FS2Crew Voice Commander Version for the IFLY 737 (FS9 version) a few days ago.Everything works fine so far but I'm not able to get the FS2CREW voices on my USB Headset (Sennheiser PC 36). I have set everything as stated in the manual. I've set the USB headset as my headset audio device in the FS2CREW config panel, I've activeted "HS" in the FS2CREW main window but all sounds and voices only come over my main speakers, which are connected to a Creative Fatality Gamer soundcard. There are no other audio devices installed on my computer. The onboard soundcard is also deactivated in BIOS. I am running Windows 7 Professional 64Bit. I would be happy for any advice. Kind regardsMartin
  11. Hi,I'm about to buy a new system for FSX.What do you think about the following specs:CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090TMainboard: Asus M4A89GTD Pro (AMD 890GX Chipset)RAM: 4GB G-Skill Eco PC3-12800U CL7-8-7-24Cooler: Noctua NH-D14At the moment I use a ATI 4870 GPU, which I want to keep.Do you think, that this system will run FSX with frames in the twenties (at quite dense airports).Another question is, if the around 100
  12. Hi,My ATI is just one month old, so I guess I have to stick with it for a while. The good thing is, that it was for free, because my old Nvidia 9800GT went bust, just 2 weeks before the end of the warranty period and since the 9800GT is no longer in production anymore, the sent me the HD4870.Kind regardsMartin Gasteiger
  13. Hi, I think I will stick with Intel for the moment.I decided to wait until the NGX is released (hopefully soon :( ) before I update my machine. My biggest concern is, that as soon as I buy a new computer, somebody makes a public anouncement, that a new Flightsim will be released in a few months and the new hardware is not good enough for it. Wouldn't be the first time that something like this happens to me, believe me :( .Kind regardsMartin Gasteiger
  14. Oh, sorrySo, once again....Thanks for your help and sorry for my late reply. What do you think about an AMD PhenomII X4 965 Black Edition, 4x 3.40GHz? As you can see, this CPU runs at 3.4GHz without overclocking and is much cheaper than a comparable I7. The PhenomII costs 155,- Euros, the I7 920 costs 219,- Euros. How are AMD CPU's dealing with FSX?Kind regardsMartin Gasteiger

  16. Hi, I'm thinking about a small hardware update to my machine. My goal is to be able to fly to airports like Aerosofts Heathrow in Active Sky Weather, using addon airliners, like the PMDG 747X or the LevelD 767 and the upcomming NGX of course.Right now I'm using a Core2Duo E6750 (not overclocked, running at 2.66), a ATI Radeon HD4870 1GB, and 3GB of Corsair DDR800 RAM. My harddrive is a Western DIgital Caviar Black 1TB (which is quite fast, according to several benchmarks), my soundcard is a Creative Fatality Gamer.I'm considering the following components:-Intel Core I5 750-Some good CPU Fan which gives me the ability to overclock the CPU-An Asus Socket 1156 Board (haven't decided for a specific one yet)-4GB DDR3 1600 RAMI'd like to keep the harddisk, as well as my soundcard and the ATI 4870 (just one month old). My Power supply (Thermaltake Toughpower 600W) should also be able to handle the new rig. What do you think about this hardware changes? Right now I have about 9FPS sitting at Aerosofts Heathrow in the PMDG 747X. How much will the framarate increase, if I overclock the new CPU to around 3.8GHZ?Kind reagards Martin
  17. Hi,That is the Ilyushin 96M, which has never been built (except one or two prototypes, which has now been reconstructed to an IL96-400 with russian avianocs).Quoting Wikipedia: Today, the aircraft on your picture most probably flies for Polet airlines. The flightdeck looks like this now:www.airliners.net/photo/Polet-Flight/Ilyushin-Il-96-400T/1586094/M/Kind regardsMartin
  18. Hello,I own Asv6.5, ASX and X Graphics. Since all HIFISIM products worked really well for me over the years I will of course buy ASA.Is it possible that ASA will use X-Graphics for updating my FS9 textures? As far as I know X-Graphics was designed for FSX, so it would be interesting if it will be usable for FS9 also, since ASA will work in both sims.Kind regardsMartin
  19. And it's looking nice!Thanks again guys.Martin
  20. Hi Graham,I just saw you uploaded the paint to AVSIM. Thank you very much for that!Is this paint also usable on the passenger version? I'm asking this because the real Martinair 747 is an ex passenger plane, so it has the longer upperdeck.Kind regardsMartin
  21. Hi Fred,Thank you very much!Martin
  22. Hi Graham,I just asked Shaddy for permission via PM. I'll let you know as soon as I hear from him.Kind regardsMartin
  23. Hello everybody,Does anybody know, if there is a repaint of the Martinair 747-400 Boeing Converted Freighter available? I know that there is one for the FS9 version of the queen, but couldn't find one for FSX (neither at the PMDG page nor here at AVSIM).If there is no paint around, is there somebody interested in doing one?http://www.airliners.net/photo/Martinair-C...BCF)/1336813/M/Really nice livery.Kind regardsMartin
  24. Hi again,@Dutton: I'm getting 22FPS (locked at 22) when I'm in the air too. The problem is, that that is only the case when I'm at a high altitude and autogen isn't displayed anymore or, if I'm somewhere over a desert, with no autogen at all. As soon as airport buildings get involved, the frames kick back to about 12-13. 12-13 FPS on a DEFAULT airport is quite lousy in my opinion. And please don't get me wrong, I'm mot a Micorsoft hater or something. I really think Windows XP is a #### of an OS (in a positive way). But the poor performance that FSX shows without addons makes me feel uncomfortable. As mentioned, I think that the real frame killers are the default airport buildings. Maybe there is something wrong with them. I keep my fingers crossed, that that's the case and Microsoft will release somekind of patch in the near future (I'm not to optimistic about that, honestly)Kind regardsMartin
  25. Hi,I have installed FSX two days ago and I have to admit that I'm quite dissapointed.I consider my machine "up to date" (AMD x64 4000+ Single Core, Geforce 7800GT 256MB, 1GB RAM).But FSX runs with 12FPS, sitting on a default airport (EDDM for example) in the default Cessna 172. That's really a poor performance. Think about using a PMDG 747, which takes another 10 FPS for it's advanced system simulation.....there will be 2FPS left. That doesn't look like having fun with an unpatched FSX in the future.I have to mention that all other games I own, like NFS Most Wanted, GTR2, Fifa Worldcup 06, and GTA San Andreas are running with all sliders to the max and 1280x1024 without the shadow of stutters. When FS9 came out, I also had a comparable "Up to date" system. On a default airport with the default Cessna, I easily gained 30FPS without any stutters and with no tweaks installed.I tried all the tweaks that have been mentioned here before. Some of them really helped, but using "tweaks" is not what I'm expected to do when I by a "game" for 75
