Hi all I use DX10 scenery fixer (Ver.2.11) although I have set correctly both DX10 Controller andt nvidia Profile Inspector, as suggested in the manual and in DX10_ "HowTo" GUIDE, in FSX I have a bad effect of shimmering especially on aircraft textures; the problem is also evident in the startup screen of fsx of which I attach a screenshot ... something wrong? I tried various settings of antialiasing 2x, 4x, 8xCSAA ... but the result is the same ... My setup is: Windows 7 64bit ASUS PX9X79 i7 4820 to 4Ghz 16 giga RAM Geforce GTX 780 can you help me? Hi all, Skeleton problem of PMDG will never be solved !!... or maybe it is for some lucky user ... but from my limited experience I believe that this problem will not be solved ,least that PMDG does not make us grace solve her ... :rolleyes: In fact, have you understand why this problem occurs only with the PMDG aircraft? ... For me the only way to make it and less visible the Skeleton problem (decrease the display time but NOT remove it entirely) is lower settings FSX ... I have a Pc certainly not old, here is my config: ASUS P9X79 i7 4820 to 4HGZ Geforce 780 16 GIGA RAM Windows 7 64bit .... But the skeleton is always present, despite having tried them all! ... Moral ... let's keep the Skeleton and amen !!! :angry:

Thanks very much for your help! I read di Avsim FSX guide.... I will check my settings. One reason why I'm not using DSX10 sceneryFixer (for now) is why, using PMDG777 , the well-known problem of the skeleton of texutres and the VC that appears first black and then normal, (from exsternal view to vc) is much more pronounced and takes longer than under DX9, ... can you give me some help about ?...because I do NOT give up using DX10 only for this aircraft! ... Now I'm using DX9 ..... :mellow: ... could be something about SweetFX? I used it only once ... I don't remenber if I was using DX10 or DX9 .. but having noticed that in FSX caused much shimmering, I uninstalled it immediately ... :o ! it was that?

GloBalEnv_AC_Chrome.dds is : 1.537 kb I forgot to say that... when I look the Aircraft textures it seems more sharp than when I was used before DX9 ... I restored all NVI settings for DX9 ... but the the risult is this !....

Unfortunately NO! :( what can I do .. now!? I tried to reinstall again DX10 ... then Uninstall library e finaly uninstall tha program ... but nothing! ... I could restore some files from my HD backup? :unsure: I have shimmering in Aircraft texture (windows, glasses ...on edges etc.) I check the NVI settings and now are the same as before to use DX10 .... I uploaded my config DX9 ... :unsure:! ....

Hi all, I have a problem: ... Help please! After I have uninstall DX10 Scenery fixer , and despite backup all FSX files as in User guide, Now in fsx I have shimmering problem in textures .... Perhaps DX10 Scenery Fixer has changed some other files?... such as SHADERS .. or what else? ... I have a backup of my HD and I could restore some other files ... but I don't know which ?!? I have set FSX as before to us DX10, same thing for Nvidia Inspector as before DX10 Scenery Fixer ... I don't understand what happened!? Can you help me!!?? Thanks Lucio

hi, Texture Max Load Editor is free utility that you can found it by google ...it works with FSX. After install, you must indicate- the path where is fsx.cfg;- how is the top size of texture that fsx must shows (es. 1024,2048,4096)- if you wont let start the relative service in automatic (the program will be for you) or manual In this way, when you starts fsx, the program will reduce all textures larger than those indicated as top (es.2048) es. if you set the max size 2048, then all textures of 4096 size, will be reduced to 2048 ... all this in real time when fsx running .... ok?

thanks ... yesterday I tried this procedure and I observed that some fonts in the VC appear less defined, especially when I zoomed... otherwise, reducing the size of textures by Texture Max Load Editor (to reduce to 2048, fired up at the same time with fsx) ...no problem, and I have a very good gain of fps .... what is your opinion about this?

When you say Liveries, they are that in the each folders Texture.XXXX ? es. Textures.UA? then I must do this procedure for each folder of textures? or not? thanks

Sorry for a stupid question.... I check into the texture folder of PMDG (texture.common and texture.PMDG) and I found some files with 4096 of size .... BUT when I load them into the DXT3 bmp and I send them into Photoshop the size of image is 2048 and no 4096 ....? Can you tell me where and what are the textures with 4096 size ...? . thanks

Hi Peter, my config is like yours ... I set FSX with autogen to dense, Clouds to max,(REX2 overdrive text. Clouds to 2048), water to 2X Low.... and I have not stutters , except when I'm in airport as KJFK, KORD, etc of FSDREAM Team or Cloud9, KSFO of FSBEAM ... etc. :-)

HI Fred, thanks ... one question : ... I have a second PC ...(connect in local lan with the main PC where is FSX) .. how can I put those displays there? thanks Lucio
