August 16, 201114 yr TMLE makes FSX load 4096 textures and then scale them down to 2048.This gives a better framerate than with 4096 textures , but not as good as with textures who are already 2048 by default. That is not the way you want it. If you want the best performance you need to resize the ry textures and several vc texures. What I did : Load a texture in BXTBMP Sent the texture to my bitmap editor ( in my case Painthop Pro ) Resize the texture to 2048 and sharpen the texture Save the texture and reload with DXTBMP I then sent the alpha channel bitmap to my bitmap editor and do the same thing. After reloading I then save the bitmap. August 16, 201114 yr Author Ah okay, the programm do the same as when you modify the FSX.cfg yourself. I´m looking more for a possibility to modify the textures itselves. This is what I do with DXT.bmp - Load the original texture- click the edit button- a texture window opens which you can now modify- I modify the solution to 2048x2048- save it as bmp (dds not possible)- open that new texture with dxt.bmp- save it as dds5 with this method Iose the cabin night texture. Seems there is a problem with the alpha channel or so ... What I´m doing wrong? August 16, 201114 yr First of all, make a backup of the original file you wish to resize... Try loading the 4096x4096 textures you want resized into DXTBMP. Then, you need to export the alpha channel. Once you have done that, you use dxtbmp to send the original file to your chosen editor. Resize it to the chosen new size and save it as a bmp. Then open that saved bmp in dxtbmp again. Now import the alpha channel you previously exported. You will get a warning that the alpha will be resized and so on, which is what you want... Now, save you resized file as a dds DXT5 file. Make sure you rename this file exactly as the original file (which you backed up and moved...) Do this with all the files you wish to resize. How did you set up the recording? I did them one at a time
