  2. If you are a bit into the way FSX deals with ai aircraft, you can use the UT2 planes and build your own, real time schedules. At least I do.Since FSX won´t display all FS9 ai aircraft correctly, I purchased UT2. These developers used to publish ai aircraft for FS9 for free. The FSX versions come with UT2. Not all planes are covered unfortunately so you do need to switch to using FS9 aircraft occasionally, but that is ok.You will need to adjust texture file names and model references, so like I said you do need to have some understanding of how FSX deals with ai aircraft, but it works.With the published real world airline schedules here on Avsim, you can then make your own real world ai flight schedules.Menno

  9. Hi,I guess FSX ATC (of which you have turned down the sound when using Radar Contact) is probably telling AI to hold because there is another plane on the runway or crossing it. You probably have come too close the the runway. I am having a similar ´problem´ with the PMDG MD11. It has quite a radius around it which keeps AI at quite a distance. Since I am using FSX ATC I can hear ATC telling them to hold. In your case with RC, you are not aware of these instructions to AI.Menno

Just using yours makes the sea look like a rapidly flowing river at FL360 so I need to make some changes.I am trying to understand what is needed but I see some values I don´t understand. Adding this to your file indeed slows down the water movement to almost static.Another is WaveBump. You mention max value is 4.000.   14. Jim, as you can see that makes it even more interesting. The weather reported by the closest station is far off from what FSX ATIS is reporting. VHHH is further away, but does a better job this time.Thanks,Menno

  16. Jim,Here´s a screenshot at HongKong. ASE indicates winds are 40@3, FSX reports 171@2. I waited a while as winds were fluctuating, but it never got close to 40@3. I am using FSUIPC 4.663, got weather settings off, ASE 462.Hope you can help.Thanks,Menno
  17. Quite frankly, I am surprised to see Jim answering as if this is the first time he hears about it. It has been brought to his attention numerous times and if I am correct Jim has said that destination winds are based on global weather.In most cases, if you check the winds using shift+Z when you start your descent, you quite well know which runway ATC will assign. It will be based on the wind FSX is showing. The local wind may be opposite (as reported by ASE), you will only see that wind in FSX after touchdown. Then, AI starts using the correct runway. It is all related to the user winds, not destination wind.In that respect, I wonder what the use of entering the flightplan is. Initially I thought it would also help getting the destination wind correct, but obviously that is not the case.I do not recall ASA having these issues, but ASE does.Menno

Hi, maybe one of you can shed some light on this.Stock airports do not seem to have this problem, but add-on scenery obviously causes a graphics problem on my system.Recently I added Aerosoft´s LPFR to my collection. I very good looking airport. But I noticed there was very little traffic. At least that was what I saw. Until I noticed ATC directing AI around that appeared to be invisible. After a while I noticed only the winglights were noticeble. On the stock airports these planes are visible.I also have this problem at TropicalSims TNCC. And I noticed this when using a different AFCAD at KATL.IT has to do with graphics, but can I adjust that? My video card is mentioned below.At first I used to run in DX10 mode since I noticed my night cockpit wasn´t showing with the stock aircraft, now I have returned to DX9 since I mainly fly the PMDG MD11 without that problem. I have a feeling dX9 in combination with my card could cause this.Any help or suggestion is appreciated.Thanks,Menno
  19. It seems to me the NGX is really going to be on par with the real bird. Incredible. Explains to me the why it hasn´t been released yet. Checking, checking, checking.....Makes me want to have the manuals too. If the NGX is that good, I want to handle it as it should in all situations!Thanks guys!Menno

  22. Hi, I noticed that the MD-11 seems to have a wide circle around it regarding AI traffic to follow it. When taxiing AI is kept at a great distance from the MD11 by ATC resulting in ATC constanly telling AI to hold for the MD11. Too great a distance actually. In some instances AI is still at the tarmac while the user AC alligns on the runway. Is there a variable that I can tweak so AI will just follow?Menno
  23. Thanks PMDG with all your efforts. With all the previews you have been showing and the incredible new features, I can only just give way and let you continue work on this project until you are really satisfied. Just imagine how satisfied I´d be.....Menno
  24. Thanks ******* for all your efforts. Despite the tool indicating I should set BP etc, I have better results with setting it to ´0´. The same goes for unlimited vs. limited. I do not use an external limiter and with FSX limiting it to 25, I have a very constant 18-25 FPS flying the PMDG MD-11 in and out of main hubs. Unlimited will give me better frames on the ground, but stutters when at cruise level.Menno
