  1. ED,may be the last parameter in this section of the aircraft.cfg:[GeneralEngineData]engine_type=1Engine.0=0.000000,0.000000,0.000000Engine.1=0.000000,0.000000,0.000000fuel_flow_scalar=1.000min_throttle_limit=-0.25 The min_throttle_limit should never be >0 ( normally ).-0.25 is in my F18.Dietmar
  2. OK, I do not disagree with you. But at least for the object placement into my FSX scenery it works very well.Thank's for your info.Dietmar
  3. Bingo ! It works. This is the required variable in the scenery placing tool:(A:PLANE HEADING DEGREES TRUE,degrees)Thanks again.Dietmar
  4. Thanks, I guess you are right. The more I am in the north, the more the deviation. Goes up to be more than 12 degrees.OK, thanks for the LINKS, I will try it.RegardsDietmar
  5. Hi,can someone explain to me this phenomenon ?I generated a simple box object in GMAX. I placed it with exact 82
  6. Hi Guys,GREAT ! I have the flags working in FSX. Here the story :The file is "flags_of_australia.zip . However, you need a scond file because the texture of the flagpoles ar missing. The file is:"missing_flag_textures.zip".The problem for FSX is you need the old bglcomp.exe compiler to generate the object.bgl. Secondly you have to make sure using as well the FS9 XMLsyntax. After that it works perfect. In order to get the US flag you can just exchange the texture, so you get the stars and stripes. Here the pic as a demo below. Thanks again very much for the help.Dietmar
  7. Thanks David, but I am looking for a freeware public object and which should not be part of another product .Seems I have to do my own development. Let's see, may be someone else will show up with a link or .....Dietmar
  8. Dear All,I am looking for a US flag scenery object for FSX (FS9 my be OK also). Animated or not animated. Rotating according to wind direction would be wonderful. I searched the forum, however did not found really a object ready to use into a scenery XML . Thanks. Dietmar
  9. Hi Dick, unzip the file and place the XMLs and BMPs into a folder let's say : XYZ Place the folder into the main gauge folder of FSX or into your panel folder. The place in the panel folder is new at FSX. Now put your entry into the panel.cfg like : gauge11=XYZ!gaugename That's it.Dietmar
  10. Hi,you can use tools like SBuilderX or RWY12 to place your objects ( available at AVSIM). Secondly you learn a little scenery XML and place any object out of the standard FSX lib into yor scenery. Here the link for the lib:http://lc0277.nerim.net/sceneobjects/Under airport objects you will find a lot of HELIPATS.Dietmar
  11. You can place your own helipads with a little scenery addon on positions where ever you want.Dietmar
  12. Hi eddr,go with the tutorial as Luis proposed. Generate with SbulderX a bmp file of the area you want to have. Now open with the GIMP the image and tailor it with your paint tools. Means, draw all parts in white (255,255,255) you want NOT to see. So you can built your smooth borders. Complete your white panting and generate your bgl. In order to make your work easier, you can/should rename your image getting rid of the large number. Make sure that you now use this new name in your compile process.Dietmar
  13. Hi Marcel,I have developed scenerys by using both approaches and i can tell you, the one with GMAX was much more difficult. GMAX is a big,big animal.Drawing the simple graphics with a graphic tool is easy and finally to place this onto the right position is also not a big thing. If you, let' say at the end, have finished your object in GMAX, you have to built first your Object.bgl file with your unique GUID. Now, having this, you need to generate a second bgl file with the coordinates etc. to place your object ino your scenery. However, it's just up to you and having some experience with GMAX at the end is worthwhile anywayl.RegardsDietmar
  14. Hi Marcel, just a general comment to your issue. You have just two ways to place a graphic into a scenery. The graphic can be a bitmap pic or a object. Object: If it is a object you need to develope it with e.g. GMAX and/or you look into some object placement tools whether a object you like is being provided by that tool ( RWY 12 etc.) .Bitmap: If you want to place a flat bmp graphic into your scenery you can do this with the tools described in the Terrain SDK. So, If you would like to place a pic with a Mc Donald Bic Mac on to your runway, just draw it with a paint tool, make a bgl file with the resample.exe tool and insert it into FSX AddOn folder. Your ccordinates for the position to place the BigMac must be part of the input for the resample.exe tool (read the SDK). A lot of other useful scenery objects you will find in the std lib for FSX under this link:http://lc0277.nerim.net/sceneobjects/.Regards Dietmar
  15. Thank's Bill for your reply.I guess you are right as far as Arne is concerned, and I do not get his traffficXML.dll ( at least in FSX ) not to work also. So, I will see how far I get with the FSX C:ItrafficInfo parameters. RegardsDietmar
  16. Hi,question on the XMLTrafficRadar.dll from Arne. Does this .dll also works for FSX ?? If so, do I have just to convert the XML code for the radar.xml ?And, where do I have to place the .dll element into ? In the MODULES folder, in the GAUGE folder or in the FSX main path ?Dietmar
  17. Hi Bill, why not unzip the CAB file ? Where is the problem ?Dietmar
  18. Hi JM,I got your point. You want to see on top of the main panel window in addittion the little view right, left etc. window, but FS9 presents just the one or the other. I do not have FS9 any more, and unfortunatly, i think I cannot help you on this. No idea even whether it is possible at all in FS9 what you are looking for. Very sorry.RegardsDietmar
  19. JM,I don't think so .Sorry! The MACRO is called VS9VIEW in FSX and shall provide in FSX a fixed window lookalike function. So, with the fixed window capability in FS9 you should be able to get what you want.Dietmar
  20. Hi Tom,Bill is right. However, may be my FSX example can give you some help for your FS9 code .Dietmar
  21. HI Tom,the code works as well to toggle a ( L:variable, enum) ! ( >L:variable, enum) if you put this into the script. Do you use the ACE tool ? Are you FSX SP2 ?With ACE you just select the Key Map, and than the Tigger. It is just a minute to generate this XML with ACE.Dietmar
  22. Hi Tom,this code toggles for example a window with the key X ( 88).If you put in your toggle variable in the script field, the X key will toggle it.<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?><SimBase.Document Type="AceXML" version="1,0"> <Descr>AceXML Document</Descr> <Filename>test.xml</Filename> <SimGauge.Gauge ArtDirectory="."> <FloatPosition>0.000,0.000</FloatPosition> <Size>25,25</Size> <KeyMap id="KeyMap"> <Trigger id="Trigger"> <KeyboardKey>88</KeyboardKey> <script>1010 (> K:PANEL_ID_TOGGLE) </Script> </Trigger> </KeyMap> </SimGauge.Gauge></SimBase.Document>This code has been generated by the ACE tool. Dietmar
  23. Hi,to do this, you need the dsd_xml_sound3.gau ( FS9 ) or the dsd_xml_sound3.dll (FSX) program to interface the sound with the XML code. The sound must be a WAV file. The dsd_xml_sound3 packgage should be on the AVSIM lib.Dietmar
  24. JM,you can do it with the same XML gauge code I explaint to you on your recent post. If you make the window size e.g. 200x200 and put a overlay bmp body on it, you have a nice looking window with a view outside your aircraft.Sent me a PM if you need more info on it and on how to do it, if you want. Dietmar
