  1. My guess is no more than a regular 744 since the engines are the same and sothe weight limitations must be similar. The interesting part is the added volume.
  2. Maybe they're working on a new way to handle repaints ???That would help because my control panel is filled with pmdgs...
  3. "This" is quite popular in the forum, it has come to be known as "The pogostick".I believe it serves as somekind of propulsion device to access the emergency exit... :(
  4. Everyone is of course very impatient when it comes to a new PMDG release but,as it has already been mentioned a couple of times in this forum :Would you prefer a prematurely released unflyable FS2002 looking 737 that ruins your expectations or a plug and play 737, complete with level D accuracy (pun intended) and eye candy ?A look at the competition speaks for itself unfortunately...(leveldsim excluded)For the moment I'm quite happy with the js41 : travelling virtual england with eastern airways :(
  5. I'm 25 years old and live in Paris (France).I am currently finishing my pharmacy studies and plan to work in the marketing/management field for the pharmaceutical industry.I've allways been a big aviation fan and first wanted to become a pilot (fighter pilot initialy) but couldn't because of my visual acuity.I then thought of becoming an aeronautical engineer but soon found out that intensive math wasn't for me ! I finaly ended up in pharmacy which was my other main interest since i was a child (making potions with plants :( ).I've been in this flight simulation hobby for at least 10 years now and I'd like to obtain a ppl now if I find the time.In my free time I also enjoy creating electronic music on my computer ( with propellerheads' reason).I've lived in Hong Kong for 4 years before 1997 and the mythical kai tak approach was allways very impressive. The first time I landed in Hong Kong, a typhoon was arriving on thecity ! You can imagine the turbulence ! I don't know how the pilot managed to land his 747-400...
  6. Yes it is indeed quite ineffective ?!A method that works for sure : create a joystick file (with Foxy) for each aircraft you want to use the microstick as a mouse on.Don't know if you've done that yet but if you have just go in "insert" than "use the composer" and click on the "Mouse/microstick" tab.Click on the "Axis as mouse" tab, choose the scale, increment and starting values you want and insert !Mine looks like this : USE MICROSTICK AS MOUSE (10, 5, 1) - NO_BUTTON.Foxy is a powerful programing tool and I'm not a pro but I'm sure the guys at http://cougar.flyfoxy.com/ would be of much help if youhave more specific questions !Enjoy !
  7. In the HOTAS cougar control panel, go in "Axis shaping".You can adjust the curve of the respons graph in "Microstick X" and "Microstick Y".If you increase the curve, you make it more sensitive and vis versa. You can adjust X and Y independently but it's perhaps better to select the same curve for both.
  8. Same here !I've been using it for a while now. I programed most of the mcp controls on the joystick and throttle, in flight I only usethe mouse for the overheadpanel and fmc. The HOTAS concept isn't very Boeing-like but it's very convenient ! (that's one more reason for a pmdg airbus :( ).The quality is very good : mostly metal and thus very stable (and heavy). For the rudder, I use Saitek's rudder pedals.
  9. Hehehe Good one ! Is the fuselage made of a special lithium alloy on this one ?
  10. She's a beaut !Thanks for the good work
  11. Yes perfect!I just have another small objection though :( The font for the "Air France" marking has changed and there is no space between "AIR" and "FRANCE" anymore. It looks like that:Thanks a lot !Jean-Charles Montagne
  12. HelloI just downloaded some liveries for the 747-8 and it seems to me that the tail art is kind of squeezed on the Air France Cargo one.Even though I couldn't find a photo for the new cargo livery; the font for the "airfrance" markings has changed too.Apart from that, eurowhite fits the pmdg 747-8 very well! Gives a little extra shine to it !Thank youJean-Charles Montagne
  13. Would'nt it have to be a "gigatop" ? :( Jean-Charles Montagne
  14. I have an even better scoop !If all goes well for Robert Randazzo and he is later elected governor of Nevada; PMDG could end up developping an entirely new kind of flying machine :A flying saucer ! Complete with its perfectly simulated antigravity reactor and yes...much more than a "simple" hud : holographic display !Jokes apart, the best of luck for Mr Randazzo !Jean-Charles MontagnePS : please excuse me if my sense of humour isn't allways politically correct :(
  15. Very smooth looking web site PMDG !Now let's give this model the 180
  16. PS : By saying "after the NG" do you mean "after the A320 that was supposed to be behind the NG" orthat there has been a slight change of plans ?I'm personaly eagerly awaiting an airbus from PMDG since I believe it would perfectly complement the Boeing andMcDonnell Douglas approaches to flight systems (speaking of jet airliners).Anyhow, the 777 is a very nice aircraft and I would certainly not miss my copy !Jean-Charles Montagne
  17. HAHA !This is my first post on the 777 subject but I'm happy to say we have a SCOOP here !Now let's give place to all the 777 fans : ...Jean-Charles Montagne
  18. PMDG, you've done it again ! :( Thanks for bringing us those fantastic simulations !Jean-Charles Montagne
  19. First, thanks for the quick answer !As for my motherboard, yes I
