  1. I suppose you could also try swapping out the built in altimeter gauge for one from another aircraft -- maybe one from the default King Air, or something like that. Just a thought.P.S. Hi, Ray Proudfoot! Good to see your name posted here again -- I don't think we've heard from you in a dog's age! Been over at the FSX forum?
  2. Have you tried it in another aircraft -- like one of the defaults? That would have been the first thing I would have done. I think I would have wanted to see more of the panel.cfg, too.Just my two cents.
  3. There's also a setting in FSUIPC that determines this, but I can't remember exactly what it's called -- I'm at work. I can see the drop down in my head but that's it. If you're aircraft.cfg is correct for each paint scheme and it still does it, look in FSUIPC.
  4. If you're using ActiveSky, ActiveSky Evolution, REX Weather, or Real Worldweather, this can happen unexpectadly as well. Check your FSUIPC weather and smoothing settings, too.
  5. Hi, Jer! The only place I set the departure time is on the opening GUI -- where the little clock/countdown timer is when the program opens -- there should be up and down arrows to adjust the time, with two radio buttons with the following choices: "Time of Departure", and "Time Until Departure". I usually set it for 20 minutes or 25 minutes to departure. Since I can't fly without FSPassengers' brake squeal effect, I just use the cabin announcements from that addon.Hope this helps!
  6. Are you at transitional altitude when it happens, depending on the country you are in? (It may be a feature of the aircraft.) Are you running any other addons at all? Do you have your pitot heat on, or are they freezing (must be set to on in your default flight, too).
  7. Jerry, I posted the url link yesterday on your earlier post here -- the forum was working fine then. I just contacted the developer to tell him the support forum is down. It will be back up as soon as Dave can bring it up. My FDC is currently tied up in a flight so I cant look at the GUI, but what you want is there. I think it's on the very first page under the first button. Read all the options there, and help is available if you hover the mouse cursor over each option.Good luck!
  8. Jerry: Are you looking for this:<< http://www.ocs-support.co.uk/forums/index.php?sid=9922f3c3e040ab284f9d1fd153af9b5d >>
  9. So long as you remain seated at your compurter the entire time, and (1) you don't eat anything, (2) you don't drink anything, and (3) you don't get up and go to the bathroom . . .!
  10. You could also make a request over at the painters forum here on AVSIM.
  11. It's not a -300, but PMDG has one on their liveries page for the -600 or -700. Sorry, I don't know of any repaints other than that one.Ahhhhhh, "Agony" Airlines! Now youre taking me back. I used to fly between Hartford/Bradley and Buffalo to go skiing when I was dating a girl from Dyouville College up there . . .:(
  12. If it's OK for me to be on "this guy's" post, the only way you can spead flight simulator across multiple monitors in full screen mode is with the aforementioned Double or Triple Head to Go. I've even got mine configured for FOUR screens, but just being a (54 year old) boy, you porbably don't want my help.
  13. Wooo-hooo! He's alive -- HE'S ALIVE!! I was hoping you'd weigh in here, january, and that your model trains hadn't taken you away from us completely! :( :( :( "If ever there was a time we needed you, Batman, NOW is that time." -- Batman (The TV Show) B)
  14. Have you tried running FS9 in windowed mode and dragging one window to the second monitor?
  15. I would go over to their dedicated support forum and ask for help over there:http://www.ocs-support.co.uk/forums/viewforum.php?f=4
  16. Does PFE finish compiling the plan in PF2000? Make sure your 'Center' Altitude is well above your destination airport's altitude.HTH.
  17. I fly 2d Panels only-and have no desire to fly VC (at least for now). I like the Wilco 737 because they feel old, but the complexity of the panel is not as detailed as either the iFly or the PMDG. I would highly recommend them all. If budget were a concern for me I'd get the iFly right now, with the PMDG a VERY close second, if only because of it's proven stability and longevity. Just my two cents. Good luck with whatever you do . . .!
  18. Thanks, Jim. With your one post half of my flight sim problems are solved! If only life were that way!! :( As I write this, I'm working on a possible solution/reduction for the KDEN plateau from a suggestion made to me by Opa Marshall. I'll post back here and let you know my results. Thanks again! --
  19. Yes, on both counts, Jim. Wow -- it's like you're sitting right next to me, looking straight at my sim! :(
  20. Yes, I found it by doing a search in the FS2004 section for the author's name: Roger Martin.
  21. Exactly! Happy New Year, Opa -- would you check your IM for a message from me? Thank you.
  22. I see where FSGlobal Ultimate Mesh was recently released on 12 DVDs, including a "tool to fix airport errors" caused by the mesh, supposedly by adjusting airport elevations. Of course there aren't any before and after photos of the tool at work, and even more suspicious is the fact that they don't call them "airport plateau" errors, like everyone else does. :( Does anyone have any of their products, and does this tool work? Is the mesh as good as FSGenesis' mesh? I already have a lifetime membership at FSGenesis so I've supported him as much as I can, but I'm am absolutely horrified lately with the look of my beautiful payware versions of KDEN, KLAS, etc. when using FSGenesis and I don't see too many fixes coming out of his shop for this yet. And yes, I AM considering spending another 80 bucks to rid myself of plateaus in FS9 one by one, if I have to.I own Airport Facilitator X (AFX) and have tried to reduce the elevation of the AFCADs in both KLAS and KDEN in AFX on each of these aiports, but I don't see that that has any effect on lowering the scenery plateau, unless I'm missing something. As always, Thanks guys. Happy New Year!
  23. Hi, Tristan! It works great. It's a bit smaller than the default texture, which makes it look more realistic, and I THINK I did detected a slight improvement in frame rate or smoothness during the storm -- of course it would hardly be noticeable, I guess, so I wasn't hoping/looking for much in that area. But I do think it will stay!
  24. Did you shut down and re-load FS9? Mine is set to 60 and it works fine . . .?
  25. ...and lose any attitude you have. You'll get more help that way. This is a pretty mature group, so respect will go a loooong way.
