  1. I showed this to my boss, a millionaire many times over. I'm not a R/W pilot, but it seems to me that even if he had to put another $500,000 - $750,000 due to needed maintenance that it would still be a good deal. Would you all say that was a fair assessment? He only travels between Philadelphia (KPHL) to Boston (KBOS) or Atlantic City (KACY), and KPHL and direct to Miami (KMIA).Then again, the airframe is coming up on FORTY years old, isn't it?? Maybe not such a good deal . . . :(
  2. Im not familiar with the POSKY model, but since no one else has offered a sulution yet, be sure POSKY has designed the model of the tail to open -- are you reading these instructions in the readme or the FS9 helps? Have you done a search for the anomoly on their forum website?
  3. Shez: Flight Deck Commander is DA BOMB -- I've got a couple of the "straight off checklist programs", where you check each item off in a preconfigured list, payware and freeware, and I haven't moved off FDC since I first found it about 2 1/2 years years ago. I don't have access to my FS computer right now, but there's one other that's a straight checklist program that was a rather distant second, and I'll try to track it down when I get home tonight, if you like.
  4. Jim, thank you for your explanation. I could never understand the parallel - crosswind - whatever details when reviewing a file in AFCAD, and this is the best explanation I have ever read. Thanks, again.Chuck
  5. Maybe no USB ports . . .? . . . or worse: only ONE. :(
  6. Bill . . . did you mean to write "I too cannont agree MORE with this"? I didn't quite follow the flow of your post . . .
  7. I suppose because they don't HAVE to. :)
  8. Especially if you add the last part of your post. The one thing I learned in Economics 101 is supply and demand: there ain't no 'poly' like 'monopoly'.
  9. Which manufacturer's aircraft are you talking about? PMDG? iFly? Arianne? That might help. For now, try turning num-lock off and hit the '5' key a couple of times before taxi/flap setting. That should set all your control surfaces to level flight. (Your rudder may be stuck in your default flight and your plane is loading up that way.)HTH --
  10. mondoeman: my email address is xtrelanex@yahoo.com. Thanks, man!

  12. Are these true "autoland" gauges?? I'd like to get a copy of those myself. Can that same person PM me at the same time?
  13. By any chance are you running multiple monitors, or more than one view at any time? Does your default startup flight have any saved multiple views in it?This happened to me for a short time a (long) while ago and I can't exactly remember how I fixed it, but I know it had something to do with some software I was trying for mutliple views and I KNOW I didn't have to do a full reinstall.
  14. I just want to know why I get double posts from this guy - EVERY TIME. Its starteing to drie me absolutly crazy.
  15. I can't help you right yet, but what is it?
  16. Also, are you sure you have the volume set up correctly? Which numbers are you pressing - the keypad on the right of your keyboard or the numbers at the top? If the former, make sure your num lock is on.Hope this helps.
  17. How many digital and or analog monitor outputs are on this card? Or are they all HDMI or optical? Thanks!
  18. I especially liked the answers under the drop down box for "How did you pay for your Aircraft?"
  19. That was great! Really needed the laugh tonight!!
  20. One thing you might want to consider is joining a virtual airline. There are any number out there that will assign you routes or let you fly anywhere you want. I've belonged to several over the years but my all time favorite is (of course) the one I belong to currently at: www.air-source.us.
  21. The fix, believe it or not, is to just turn the volume for the default ATC all the way down in FS9 - while in FS9, it's in the menu under options, settings I believe (not in front of my sim computer right now.)HTH
  22. Ive used them all and FDC for years on a network config. for years now without problem, and it is head and shoulders above the rest IMHO if only because of it's 1) number of voices and automatic regional accents, it's 2) configuration flexibility, and the fact that it 3) works in ANY aircraft. Have you tried a complete uninstall using a good uninstaller and registry scrubbing program and reinstall? Have you asked for help over at the dedicated support forum?Chuck B.
  23. Hi, Gary. You may want to post this in the AVSIM Files Library forum up the page a bit. However, if it works in IE, I would probably just use that for my downloads here until this gets sorted out.HTH.
  24. Oooh. I forgot abou the Level-D. GREAT plane. But as far as having the most buttons and switches to push I think the iFly still beats it (although it's bloody close!).
