  1. Hi Carlo, Followed your instructions and I now have runway lights. Thanks for your assistance, it's much appreciated. Regards John
  2. Hi Carlo, Thanks for taking the time to write this. I'll let you know how I get on. Best Regards John
  3. Hi Stook2005, Thanks, I have tried this but it looks like I would need the FSX SDK to make it work, which I don't have. Hi Carlo, I have bought and installed the airport and as you suggested the runway lights are missing. If you could advise me of your method to get them working I would be grateful. Many thanks John
  4. Thanks Carlo, I've no idea how to modify AFCAD files, I'll have to make sure I only arrive in daylight! Regards John
  5. Very tempting. Does anyone know if this would work in P3Dv2.5? John Fairman
  6. Hi Mike, It happens with both 200 & 300. Probably won't be able to try another flight for a few days. All flights were planned with PFPX and were well within weight limits. Can't recall what the TAT was. I'll make a note of it next time. Regards John
  7. CT5 I've tested without ASN and with no weather and it still does it. Dan, I was in a standard LNAV / VNAV cruise on autopilot. I tried turning the autopilot off but still couldn't get it under control. Takeoff and landing, and even descent are totally controllable it's just in cruise that the problem appears. I've been flying the 777 in FSX ever since it was released without any problem. I think I may have to try a re-install and see if that cures it. Thanks for your responses, John
  8. Hi All, I'm having a problem that is only occurring in the 777. In the cruise phase I have very severe oscillations in the altitude. The plane will constantly drop about 1000feet then start climbing and then overshooting the set altitude by about 1000feet. The rate I'd decent/ascent can be as much as 6000fpm. This occurs no matter what weather settings I use. It does it using ASN, standard sim weather and no weather at all. When using FSCaptain & ASN, FSCaptain will show heavy turbulence whilst ASN shows no turbulence at all. I've tried with FSCaptain off & the result is the same. I have tested with other planes (Aerosoft Airbus A320/A321) and this does not happen, the cruise is fine. My system is running on Windows 7 64bit. Any assistance / advice would be appreciated. I have also posted this in the PMDG777 forum Many thanks John Fairman

  10. Hi Jude, Solved it! I only had one configurator on my desktop and I assumed it worked for both FSX and P3D. I looked in the P3D Airbus folders and found the configurator in there. Opened it and activated fs2crew and bingo it worked. Thanks for your assistance - definitely operator error... Now to get flying Regards John
  11. Hi Jude, Yes it did. If I run the FSX version then FS2Crew responds and starts as normal. In P3Dv2.5 it does not respond at all. John
  12. Hi Bryan, Thanks for responding. Yes I did enable FS2Crew in the Airbus configurator. Do the FSX and P3D versions have their own configurator? I only have one, does this serve both versions? I will check in the Aerosoft Airbus panel.cfg and reprt back. I am sure that I have adminstrator rights, I will check this and report back. I have re-installed both the Airbus and FS2Crew but this didn't help. It probably is something simple that I have overlooked - had a long day yesterday setting up my P3dv2.5 with all my addons.....still not finished! Love your work Bryan and don't really want to fly without it! Many thanks John
  13. I am having a problem with starting FS2Crew with the Airbus 320/321 (latest version) in P3Dv2.5. I have assigned the button on my controller as described in your manual. I have tried re-installing but it still won't start. I have the PMDG777 also in P3D2.5 with the same assignment and that works ok. I also have the Airbus and PMDG777 & NGX in FSX and they also are working. I would appreciate any assistance with getting this to work. Many thanks John Fairman
  14. Thanks Pete, Think I'll have to get her out of the hanger again - can't rely on my ageing memory!! John Fairman
  15. Hi bluepilot76, Not flown the J41 since the NGX came out, but I think you should not arm the spoilers for take-off - this could be your problem. John Fairman
  16. Thanks Brent.RegardsJohn Fairman
  17. Hi Guys,Just getting round to updating NGX to SP1. I have both 800/900 & 600/700.I can find the SP1 for the 800/900 on the downloads page of the website but I can't find the SP1 for the 600/700.Can someone point me in the right direction please. Many thanksJohn Fairman
  18. Hi Oliver, Also going from memory but I'm pretty sure you use the up/down range arrows that are on the weather radar unit.Hope that helps. RegardsJohn Fairman
  19. Hi All,Mew member here so be patient with me.I have had to uninstall 747-400 from my new vista PC due to errors.I cannot now re-install and am constantly getting the message that I don't have flight simulator installed.I have read all the posts and have used the registry repair tools but continue to get the same message.I would appreciate some assistance in getting this great plane back on my system and airborne again.I have tried contacting PMDG direcdt by email but to date have had no response. Many ThanksJohn Fairman
